Losing Tevez would be horrible. Rooney has missed large parts of campaigns a few years running now. It would leave United short on cover. -Petey
Yes, but because United goes deep in the FA Cup, at times Carling Cup and Champions League, while trying to win the EPL, they need more than Rooney and Berbatov. That is tons of games, wear and tear. They need keep Tevez, and add a few cheaper striking options, or sign a big man as implied in this article. -Petey
I'm fully aware. I just don't see the point for spending for Villa, Huntelaar, or Benzema when you just spent so much for Berbatov. One of the two would be a ridiculously overprice second choice.
Tevez is a different player though. He and Rooney would be the guys who play off of Berbatov and whoever else they get. What would be best is dividing the Tevez money and getting one of the guys who can play off the ball and one who will hold it up.
Berbatov worth £32 Mil. I think not. Neither is Tevez. Spending too much on players is never a good thing. It Might bring you short term success as it did with Chelsea but thats it IMO
Tevez probably won't leave in the end. Pretty soon Rooney or berbatov will get injured or suspended and Tevez will get his chance. Which he said he is waiting patiently for.
The most realistic signing from the three is probably Huntelaar, he's the cheapest of all. 34M is too much, especially with the economic crisis the world is having I doubt they would spend it on Tevez, united already spent 32M on Berva this summer, I doubt they will do it again soon. Benzema will be at least 40M to buy if not more.
Not this season, Lyon are just holding out till Chelsea, Barca or Madrid make a stupid offer for him and cash in on him, lyon is a selling club.
