The Bobcats have some good talents in Gerald Wallace, Emeka Okafor and Jason Richardson, but why do they still suck so much in the East? What would you do to fix them?
I like wallace, i like okafor, but the two have never done any good for a teams win/loss record. Richardson hasnt done anything good for anybody ever. These players are very talanted, and would be best utilezed if they were paired with winners rather than each other. They are very talanted in their own right, but dont know how to win games. Okafor has some promise, and im sure if in the right situation he could be extremely deadly, but wallace and richardson seem to be lost causes. Feel free to dissagree with me as i dont follow the bobcats much, just my opinion based on what ive heard/read, but still, what have wallace and richardson won for there teams since being in the league? Nothing.
The bobcats just need some good bench players and theyll make the playoffs in the east especially now with their new coach
Larry the Clown? He's the most overrated coach ever. Wallace is a great player, I would love him on Portland.
they need some healthy players and learn how to draft better. why they thought adam morrison would be a good idea i dont know. same goes for sean may who never looked like he even had an nba body
Getting rid of Jordan might be a start. How much of an influence does he have on player acquisitions?
Adding a legit PF would be step one, adding a big off the bench would be step 2....wait move all that down 1 spot, getting rid of Jordan should be step 1. They're playing small ball with horrible personnel.
Step 1: Fire Jordan Step 2: Fire Larry Optional: Step 3: Move 2 of the three from this group: Emeka, J-Rich, Wallace for prospects and picks.
To be honest, I think the biggest issue with this team is injuries. They have plenty of talent, they just can't keep them on the court. Wallace and Okafor seem to always be banged and miss huge chunks of games. If they actually stayed on the court for 75 games a season, that would help the 'Cats a lot. As for your criticism of Brown, War Poet, I really don't think it's fair to criticize him yet. I realize he did nothing with the Knicks, but he's still a great coach. I think the one thing that this team has been lacking is a quality coach to get the most out of these players, and Brown could certainly do that.
kobimal is correct. I think they need to get everyone healthy and see where they're at. If Augustin becomes a good starting point guard and they can find a PF or C that fits well with Okafor they could be set.
They don't need Augustin to become a good starting PG when they already have one in Ray Felton. That draft pick still makes no sense to me at all.
Felton is not a good starting point guard. Backup, ok. But He isn't a pure point guard. He would rather shoot than pass, plays bad defense, and doesn't run an offense or pass well.
I think if they had gotten D'Antoni, they would be great this coming year. (Great by Eastern Conference definition)
Getting rid of Jordan should be at the top of the list. I know someone who used to be a top executive with the Bobcats and he stepped down after putting up with Jordan's b.s. for two years. During team meetings Jordan would come in late, light up a cigar, and kick his feet up while his co-workers would discuss team operations, personnel moves etc. Then Jordan would blow them off and tell them to have something new for the next meeting without giving any input. The franchise definitely rots from the top down.
Yes, the life....once G.O.A.T...always the G.O.A.T....until you get into the office of a team. Look @ Larry Bird & Jordan, yet guys that have never played hoops like Colangelo are studs at building teams
