i guess they figure that if lebron can take the cavs to the finals without MO... they have to be a little better with MO :/ .... on a different subject, i think the nets will really surprise the WORLD... except for us here who are believers, i really believe they will be able to compete... its just stayin consistent :/ but im definately happy with i have seen so far, and CANT wait for the season to start.
if everything goes sour we're #25. If everything goes great we're 15ish? Fuck predictions settle it on the court.
I don't care where they place us.....but for petes sake don't put the Knicks ahead of us. I mean, OK, were bad....but not that bad.
Why can't the Nets be worse than the Knicks? Their roster is mostly made up of unproven rookies/youngsters and are being led by a 32-year-old Vince Carter, who has a history of motivation issues. It's very possible the Nets can finish worse than the Knicks.
Besides being below the Knicks, I have no problem where they put us.I dont mind being the underdog. I think we will be better. For draft purposes, if we finish where most think we will finish, I am cool with that too.
Fat Shit Curry. I don't know why that made me laugh. I followed that guy from when he was in highschool, he was on SLAM magazine.
I think a group of unproven, yet hungry and fresh rookies is way better than a bunch of knucklehead veterans who are proven to have motivation problems --- at least as a group. Yes it is still possible for the Knicks to do better, heck, the Knicks have a chance to win the championship. But the Nets have better chances of doing better than the Knicks in my opinion.
Hahaha, thats what my friends and i call him. and to that other guy at least VC is going to be on the floor, while your paying marbury jerome james and curry to sit on the bench for the whole year....what is that close to 40 something mill gone to waste
The only players with motivation issues are James and Curry and they aren't in the rotation. As for "knuckleheads" the only players who might fit that description are Marbury and Randolph. The Knicks have made a major upgrade in coaching and D’Antoni (hopefully we all agree he’s much better than Frank) will make sure the right guys play. We also are more motivated than you think; everyone wants to shed the notion that they can’t play together. So far the Knick have shown solid chemistry and with the emergence of Lee, Chandler, and Robinson, I can easily see the Knicks winning 10+ more games, while the Nets probably will have less wins than they did last season. The Nets rookies might be hungry, but are still rookies at the end of the day. There usually is a tough learning curve for rookies, especially those not in the lottery (Anderson #17, Douglas-Roberts #40-something). Devin Harris the second best player (arguably the best) on the roster has also been looking somewhat lackluster. I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree then. Knicks and Nets fans just can’t agree: apparently Keyon Dooling is better than Nate Robinson (who isn’t better than any Net rookie), David Lee is a garbage player only slightly better than Boone, and Zach Randolph isn’t better than any Net big man on the roster. With that said I’ll be willing to put a sig bet for anyone who thinks the Nets will be better than the Knicks this season.
The Nets are 22 on mine, which are completely statistical based. (And that is pre-season...the pre-season ones don't matter too much since it changes every day as new statistical information comes in).
