I've read and heard some pretty funny stuff lately about what Obama will do when elected. I have been amazed at how creative people have been in creating such outlandish doomsday scenarios, simply because they're too frightened or too embarrassed to admit they are opposed to ever having a black President. Don't be a coward. Embace your racism and be proud of your mental defects!
Hah, hah, hah! Hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah! Hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah! Oh, Baby, that's a good one! You're a real comedian.
I agree with you in that the doomsday stuff is way out of line. In some ways he will be a very effective president and in some ways he won't. I think it's the intrepidation of taxes, social spending and judicial appointments. And that is a fair concern.
what doomsday stuff? What's going to happen is that he will redistribute wealth, move to make America more socialist and try to make everything "equal" (for better or worse) with universal programs in healthcare and what not. America will rely more on the government and less on the innovativeness of its population, since he will punish success.
Let's see, it would be okay for me to vote for a white Republican candidate if I agree with their platform more than a white Democratic candidate's platform, but if I vote for a white Republican candidate because I agree with his or her platform more than a black Democratic candidate's platform, then I'm racist? Hmmm, sounds to me like your logic is more than a bit suspect, MARIS61, but then, that's not exactly unusual.
Maybe I've simply overestimated the average Republican's IQ, and they actually believe the failed comedy team of Palin/McCain could somehow stumble through 4 years without bringing about the total collapse of what's left of the Greatest Nation on Earth. I guess they COULD be that stupid. Maybe both.
There has been a lot of misinformation and plenty of BS smear on Obama, yes.... but all I can say to this post is
