He could be a perfect starting SF for us...
And his contract expires in 2010!!

    Can we get him?

they just said, they think we have too many bigs, and they are still trying to get something done.
Stro+Hassell+Sean+GS's own 2011 pick (the one we got for Marcus) might get it done...

He's a decent player but hes not gonna win us a championship so why would we even want to get him. He will essentially only hurt us in terms of draft position if he makes us a little better. Next two years should just be focused on developing the young guys as quick as possible and getting high draft picks.

He may not win us a championship, but hes a good young player who would add some nice value to our team when a big free agent looks at us to see if we could be a contender.

GSW struggling with their PG situation. I think DeMarcus Nelson is starting opening night.

A modest trade to acquire him made sense when Kidd and Jefferson were still here and we were starved for anyone with a modicum of offensive skill and mobility to play the 4. It makes no sense now.

Yeah, another offensive player could have been interesting then.

But at this point, it's not like Al Harrington is the missing piece to the Nets winning a championship. Rather let the young guys play.

    I agree.

He's a good player on a short deal, it'll take a bit to get him.

    Young? He's almost 29.

If we get him we probably won't be able to afford to extend his deal and bring in a huge FA since we need to keep some money around for the young guys. Basically getting him would be a move to free even more cap space in 2010, which we really don't need to worry about right now, especially with the Brooklyn deal in jeopardy. Harrington is a good offensive player, doesn't bring much more though. I wouldn't mind bringing him in to replace Simmons/Hayes in the starting lineup but he would cost us too much.

Early east coast swing for GSW. Just a glimpse of what GSW did last night.....no PG whatsoever, yes the Nets did send Williams over there....yea, no PG whatsoever. DeMarcus Nelson was the starter but played very little. Instead Stephen Jackson seemed to have taken on that role. GSW went only 7 deep, yep, only 7 players played. Still running the same running style offense. Still unknown quantities in Randolph and Wright. Wright would be a good matchup for Yi.......if Nellie starts trusting the younger cats. Coming off the 2nd off back to backs, Nellie may have to dig deeper into his bench for NJ on Saturday.
