Blazers played an ugly game and just about everything that could go wrong did . . . and still they only lost to the Lakers by half as much as the Clips did. I wish SA won last night . . . SA loses their home opener and play Ptd next . . . two 0-1 teams that both thinking they are playoff teams . . . intensity should be flowing Friday night.
Ok. The Clipps were without Davis. Portland was without Oden and Webster. So let's put this in perspective. Lakers beat us, and granted Oden left early, but he wasn't much of a factor, by 20. Webster would have helped IMO. With Web we maybe lose by 10. The Clipps were beat by 40. With Davis, I could see them only getting blown out by 20. So at this point, we know the Lakers are again one of the best teams in the league and Portland is better than the Clipps. How much better? Now, quite a bit. In a couple of months, quite a bit more.
so... since davis actually played does that mean they'd have lost by 60 without him? you could say camby might have helped the clips non-existent defense a little.
Two wins by a total of...58 points.. 5/8 quarters of keeping team at 20pts or less 2 quarters of keep them at 14 or under ...i like
Doh! I didn't realize. So then ... now we're quite a lot better. The Clipps might be worse than I thought.
nice, but you won't have 2 opponents be any worse prepared for you the rest of the year. also can't expect to keep shooting 59% 3P
Lakers are even better than I thought. They are definitely the favorite to win the title presuming they stay healthy. I still believe we'll be fine regardless of how long Oden is out. Roy and LMA cost us the first game not Oden. We played horrible, combination of Laker defense, bad coaching and horrible shooting by us. IMO we really need to look into trying to get a veteran help at SF or PG sooner rather than later (meaning before the trade deadline). When Roy plays badly we have no one to help take up the slack.
Well, they have The Machine. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/t1ewIkVRdEo&hl=pt-br&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/t1ewIkVRdEo&hl=pt-br&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Lakers look good. *sigh* Hey -- if we get the 8 seed and the Lakers are in first, that would be kind of fun, eh??
More than anything else, that trade for Trevor Ariza is paying off dividends. They got him for scrubs that they didn't need, and Orlando had Hedo so they felt Ariza wasn't necessary. If he can continue to shoot the three as well as he has, he'll be a great asset for LAL in terms of defense. Just look at how fast Walton went from starter (for most of the season) to 3rd string benchwarmer.
