I don't think so. I think he got it on reputation alone.

I don't think he deserved it. He came in and pulled Yao out, and got the T? Come on, that T was cause his name is Ron Artest. I mean, we all know people get T's for far worse. I saw that on TV and I called bullshit.

He deserved it. He comes running into a hot situation and his first contact was with the opposing team. Go 40sec into video.

You come blindsiding like that yes. It was quick. Maybe the ref didnt at first understand his intent but he came in there with all the signs of someone wanting to fight...obviously he didnt

He ran up and bumped into Jason Terry and Jason Kidd.

He probably didn't deserve a technical, but he didn't have to run up bump into them like that to get to Yao either.

And enough with the reputation BS. He earned that reputation through his behavior and he needs to accept that. He needs to have common sense in that situation.

He went straight for Howard. Had he gone to Yao first, he would have been fine. Most guys wouldn't have got a T. Reputation baby!

To me he looked like he tried to go to the middle in between the two of them, but with everyone in the way and all and Jason Kidd already there in the middle, it looked like he was gunning for the Mavs. Maybe that was it? :dunno:?

If the NBA suspends him, then I'll cry about injustice. Just a technical? Maybe, it's debatable.

He deserved it because we all know he wants to fight out there. Its in his blood.

Didn't he say you can't take the streets out of him or something like that to Yao? lol

You can make a case either way. He didn't have to run in there which I think caused the big drama, but you have to understand that he was only trying to stop anything from happening. Yao and Howard weren't going to fight, Artest only had his back. His intentions weren't to hit anyone obviously, therefore I'll say that was a bullshit call.

    Man...

Ron Artest is a true G. Refs are just hating right there. Unfortunately, Artest's reputation is that he keeps it real and won't back down from a fight, even if it's 50 against 1. He is a tru warier.

They probably thought he was gonna start some shit, so like pussies they just blew their whistles.

Can't be like him? Then hate him. Hate the player because you aren't him.

It makes sense, read it again.

Artest is kind of screwed up in his head, he's a great player no doubt, but he's an accident waiting to happen when things get heated during games. We've seen it time after time again.

Saying that he wants to fight when he is out there makes no sense. The man is a G and will stand up for his teammates, but saying that he is out to fight is an ignorant statement and a poor generalization of his character. Noone said he was mentally sane.
