    So Olbermann thinks Karl Rove is a terrible political strategist? And Rudy Giuliani is a fool? I guess he also thinks Albert Einstein is overrated.

    Anybody who takes Olbermann seriously should have his head examined . . .

    No, Rove's a fantastic strategist, who helped his guy to the lowest approval ratings in history, lost the 2006 congress, and set the stage for your favorite candidate, Barack Obama, to win in a blowout.

    And I'm kind of bewildered as to why you have such high regard for Rudy's intelligence. Did he beat you in connect 4 or something?

    Let's think about this. In 2000, the Democrats were convinced Gore was going to beat Bush, but he didn't. Then, in 2004, the Dems were convinced Kerry was going to beat Bush, but he didn't.

    Who was running Bush's campaign in both elections? That's right, Karl Rove.

    Enough said.

    I've been impressed at how well he's used the politics of division. Painting Bill Clinton as a racist was a stroke of genius. It's like painting Ronald Reagan as a Communist.

    He looked to compete in states that no one would expect him to. North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, North Dakota, Montana, Arizona, Indiana, etc. Just like Bush did in 2000 with West Virginia, Tennessee, and Arkansas.

    Well, he has a ton of money and not much time to spend it. As for those states, why not? NC and VA have become more Democrat-leaning as well as having a large percentage of black people. Georgia has an even larger black population. When you're capturing 95+% of that vote, it helps. You have to love identity politics!

    North Dakota is called the "Peace State" for a reason. It elected George McGovern, so why wouldn't it be in play? Montana is a sparsely populated state where people from the left have moved to be closer to nature. Arizona is simply to try to embarrass McCain, which is what Bush did to Gore in 2000. As for Indiana, it's the state adjacent to Illinois? If Illinois elected Obama, why wouldn't Indiana? Heck, NE Indiana practially is part of Chicago. And rural Indiana closely mirrors downstate Illinois.
