I wanted to get league pass for this year, but when I called up my cable provider (Verizon Fios), they said that they don't offer any league pass packages. Does anyone know if this is true or if the guy I spoke with could just be ignorant? IF so, are there any other NBA packages offered? Any suggestions? THanks in advance!

It should be available if you order the channel.

It's possible. Not all cable service provides offer it. There may be a list of providers in the NBA's web site.

However my understanding is that you can now receive league pass over the internet streamed to your computer for a lower fee. they resisted this for a long time.

Yeah I've wanted Internet League Pass for a long time now and they have finally delivered. It's also only $85 but unfortunately, it has some drawbacks. It's hard to use as a primary source of NBA games because the client to access the games shows all the scores on the first screen. I have to block half my screen so as not to spoil myself, then choose the Nets game. Also, they've transitioned to streaming flash video, instead of streaming windows media. The result (at least for me) is higher quality but less smoothness. It's more prone to stuttering and pausing to buffer.

I'll still be picking it up though, since I don't have digital cable or satellite.

The online league pass is great, so far. You can watch three games at once on it.

The online League Pass blacks out a lot of games, like national games and your regional teams. Like if you live in Boston Celtics would be blacked out. Thats what I read on other forums.
