Steve Blake was hard to watch tonight. He was getting eaten up on the defensive end and was non-existent on offense.

When Brandon Roy sets up the offense, which is most of the time, you don't notice Blake at all. If Blake was able to finish or even create his own shot he'd help the team.

Tonight I think Bayless would have been so much more effective because of his defense and scoring ability, the perfect type of player to have next to Roy.

Bottom line, we need an upgrade at the one.

I was thinking about that during the game...the PG is definitley our weakest position right now. It'll be interesting to see how long Nate sits on Bayless.

It's only the 2nd game. No need to throw in the towel on our PG's just yet.

Yes sir, It's our most glaring need imo. If this team plan on making and advancing deep in the playoffs, i don't think steve blake will cut it. The western conference has too many elite pg's.

Steve has his moments, but his defense seems worse than last year (in 2 games).

Sergio is our best PG, hands down, and I was pleased that Nate played him in both halves.

true, but I couldn't help but thinking during the game that Bayless would do a better job stopping penetration.

I know I am worried about Stevie too. Bayless needs to step up and take over this weakness.

On the positive side, he didn't turn the ball over even once (and I think the difference in the ballgame was our low turnover count) and he was 3 for 5 on shots and he made a really clutch shot in the fourth quarter with the clock winding down.

...I agree! It makes much more sense to have that type of PG [Bayless] along side of B-Roy, especially if the offense is going to mirror the last two games. I hope Nate has a big enough lead at some point in the coming weeks so that he can play Bayless, Roy, Batum, LMA, Oden/Joel [and when Webster gets back...may as well develop the core early and often...let that cake bake and the frosting set] RIP CITY!!!

Ugh, just the amount of times Blake got burned by Parker was horrifying to watch. Parker was so much less ineffective when Batum was guarding him.

Blake is a liability on both ends of the floor. Plain and simple.

Lets look to move TO and Raef for a legit PG.

Blake is fine in a reserve role, but as a starter he doesn't do much to instigate much. He has never been very good at finding cutters and rarely drives the lane, and when he does very little happens as a result.

I think Jason Kidd would be the best option. He can still play and his contract is expiring.

Yeah I don't think Kidd at his age and likely asking price does much for us.

Ive always thought Blake is an awsome second string player and a below avg starter for a team that would be a lower playoff team...You guys just need to be patient with Bayless..two years(10/11) from now is when you guys should be ballin, anything else is bonus
