I'm not trying to be a debbie downer but the PG's play on defense (i.e. blake and sergio) was kinda disappointing. I really hope Bayless can learn the offense and contribute as a pass first lock down PG. I know i've only seen two games but that seems to be most glaring weakness. Otherwise, DAMN! What a difference, it was like we traded in a Chevy and got a BMW tonight.

vintage 2007-2008 blazers win! fighting till the end and getting some luck along the way ;)

the thing i love about the team is that multiple people contribute to the win. not just one dude. blake hit a big shot, roy was roy, aldrige hit that 3 and that clutch 2, joel got the jumpball. total TEAM win in every sense of the world. extremely entertaining game. awesome crowd too!

Seems like good news, though I'm only barely a doctor (I exercise and eat right).

LMA has added the three point shot to his game. Without the one he hit, we wouldn't have won. Shooting .500 from three point land is fine with me. It will be especially great when Oden comes back.

Can't argue with 6 turnovers. That's what won it for us, you can't commit turnovers against a team like San Antonio.

He's worked on extending his range out to the three point line, in his interview he said he has no plans to make that his new home, but on occasion and if he's open he said he feels comfortable taking that shot.

As long as he doesn't go all "Rasheed" on our asses, he should be fine, and it will be one more thing defenders will have to worry about in the back of their minds.

I don't like Aldridge at the 3point line at all... I don't mind Frye there, because he tries to be a SF anyway. But I think Aldridge is most effective 20ft out max and then posting up...

He was kick ass in the post... I love Roy, and Roy is what makes the team go, but I think Aldridge is right up there with Roy as our best player... Aldridge's ceiling is insane high.

    A final thought:

The Blazers rotation is not fixed yet, and I'm not talking about Oden. We don't really know what
some of the players like Batum can do, and so we don't know really have any idea of what our
starting lineup will be at the all star break or at the end of the season. For example, it very well
    could be:
    Bayless-Roy-Batum-LMA-Oden
with Blake-Rudy-Webster-Outlaw-Pryz coming off the bench

When we have our lineup set (like the Spurs do), we'll be a better team. This needs to happen
by 20 games before the playoffs.

If he can hit it, who's arguing? And like Nik said, he's not going to go Sheed on us.

The more varied Aldridge's skillset, the better. When/if Oden becomes the team's low-post fixture, Aldridge being able to face up to attack the hoop or shoot with range will be a fairly devastating complement.

Rasheed always played good defense, so if he "goes Sheed" I won't complain.

Avoiding gratuitous technicals would be good, though :)

Aside from the Blazers, I was impressed with Mason of the Spurs. I had never heard of him or seen him play. He was killing us in the 2nd half.

Hey D-Rizz -- a Laker fan at my work presented me with a proposition bet that really pissed me off -- he said he thinks the Lakers will win more games in the regular season than Oden actually plays in this year.

Oh thats cold...but I think true.

My reasons are that I think Oden will mis AT LEAST 4 weeks due to the current injury.
If Oden misses 5 weeks this season then my vote is for the Lakers
