When i watched the summer league (all of the games), Batum was basically an extra player on the roster with potential. bayless looked like the only guy on the team with talent who could contribute this year. if someone would have told me batum had a chance to start yet make a major impact in a win vs the spurs...i would have tuned that person out thinking he was a moron. infact after summer league....i had visions of him ending up like the russians we drafted a few years back. Good god they were horrible lol. Now it looks like Batum will get much more playing time then bayless. amazing how things turn out. Aii i can say is....batum looks like T Price part 2. I was wrong about not starting him. Infact...nate needs his head examined if batum doesnt start over outlaw. Am i the only one who dreads seeing outlaw with the ball witha guy in his face...shot clock winding down? Yah..hes gonna shoot a bad shot and miss. start batum till webster comes back and then tarde outlaw and change for a PG that can play.
Outlaw is just a natural second unit guy. The starters need a garbage man and Batum should be that guy.
While I like what I he has done, he has done it in a very sample size to this point. I have faith and I agree with the Prince comparison in terms of body type and hustle. Nic is an athletic freak.
Batum is only playing because Webster is hurt. If Webster was healthy, it wouldn't be playing at all. If Steve Blake was hurt, Bayless would be playing a lot.
