Why on earth was Rafer with the ball at the top of the key on the final play of the third? That should be McGrady. No sense whatsoever in that.

The Rockets go with Brooks-Barry-Artest-Landry-Yao to start the 4th. This Rockets should do well with this group.

Brooks and Barry come in for Rafer and Tracy, and again good things happen. They give up a lot of defense, but I like what they give the team offensively. Good combination of playmaking and shooting ability.

Great, great work by Yao right now. He makes the cross court pass to Artest from the double (impressive vision), and he battles for the offensive rebound and gets to the free throw line.

It looks like Adelman might play Yao the entire second half. It would be nice to give him some rest.

Alston and McGrady back in the game. Not sure why. I guess Adelman is using this as practice time?

Rockets win. T-Mac leads in scoring with 22 points. But the difference in this game was when we added Brook and Barry to the court in the fourth. Adelman kept Yao on the floor as well to give us a second post up options (with Artest), instead of inserting Hayes. That group ended up playing very well on the boards, defensively, and offensively. Landry had his best game to date with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Yao had a very strong stretch in the 4th quarter that helped put it away.

What a great start to the season!

Stats-wise, Brooks didn't have a good game, but how was he on the court? I just saw the Mavs game today and Brooks was very impressive.

Brooks had a good game. He's able to make plays off the dribble, while Alston can't. He made a big difference in the fourth quarter, again.

went to the game last night!

offense was out of sync at times, but Tracy appeared to have some extra pep in his step......scary moment when he got drilled to the floor....surprisingly he kept attacking the basket after the hard hit......once again the bench was good...I keep telling people that Landry will be 6th man of the year.....solid game for Carl last night offensively....and although Brooks didn't put a lot of points on the board, he totally changed the tempo of the game when he was on the court................one negative that I noticed last night was that at times we got too happy with the 3 pointer....

Settling for the three point shot was a problem last year. We aren't particularly a fast team, and long jumpers lead to long rebounds, which lead to quick outlets and fastbreaks. It's a discipline that the guys need to learn themselves.

to be honest sometimes I enjoy seeing the lineup of Brooks, Barry, Ron, Landry/Hayes, and Yao more than are starting lineup, lol.............they all like to run the floor...

yeah I was surprised to see that as well.....I thought tmac would be done for the night again........I guess Rick didn't want to hurt his feelings by sitting him 2 straight 4th quarters, lol.........
