Either Derrick Rose or Gilbert Arenas.

Wow, that is a pretty sad group. AI will be point in Det so I'd take him (if we're talking about this season only)

Although looking at Calderon's early stats, you have to put him up there too, although I'm skeptical of him keeping up his high scoring numbers.

Allen Iverson anyone? He may be more of a SG than a PG...but he's going to be playing the PG position. So I think with him going, he's got to be the guy.

Id have to say Calderon even if you count Iverson. Calderon is going to have a huge year and I expect him to be in the top 3-5 in assists this year plus 15-18 points.

Not including AI I would take Arenas or Bibby. I can't believe picking Calderon over either or them.

I would pick Arenas, but for this year he isnt going to have the same impact that Calderon will in Toronto. As for Bibby he has consistently been declining in the scoring department for the past few years and I would take Calderon over him as my PG without a doubt (and im a huge Arizona fan).

I like Andre Miller and Jose Calderon. I guess it would be Iverson, though I don't think he's as good in a PG role as Billups was.

Calderon's assist to turnover ratio is what seperates him.

He does exactly what a PG is supposed to do - distribute and protect the ball.

And you're right, this is the first year he has had the team all to himself.

    I want to say Jose

but in terms of skillset, it is Arenas.

(That is if we do not count AI).

    LOL @ Rose.

and Bibby is done. Calderon is def better than Bibby.

Calderon>Rose right now. In the future, Rose will most likely be a better player, I don't know about PG.

Iverson is on the decline, but still a very good player. Again, PG wise, Calderon is better.

Bibby is not a good PG, but a good shooter. So, PG wise, Calderon is better.

Arenas who shots more than passes, is a better player, but, Calderon is a better PG.

Can you see where I'm going with this?

I truly think Jose Calderon is the best PG in the East, hands down.

I'd say Calderon is probably the best "pure PG" in the East, but that doesn't make him the best PG.

    Gilbert Arenas when healthy.

Other than that Jose and Andre would be at the top of my list.
