Does anybody know how much money was spent on this thing? I've seen it at least 30 times today.

Grasping at straws a little too late in the game.

Saw it here in Northern Virginia...

If they pay the money why not? I have seen all kinds of different ads on Fox News.

a little to late is right.

One of the slimier ads, and to this partisan's nose it smells of desperation.

However, it's probably a pretty smart tactical move. Save your most obnoxious ad for the very last minute, so by the time the media has had time to point out how sleazy it is and how much money the Republicans have spent on running it, the election is already over.

They should have gone after this six months ago, but since they didn't, running it in an enormous one-day media blitz the day before the election was the second best strategy.

Of course, the best strategy of all would be to just run a candidate who is consistent, smart, level-headed and provides thoughtful solutions to today's problems. Way too late for that, though.

This is a bad idea imo. I think the Republicans should have just hoped Obama supporters got complacent, this type of ad could ight a fire under Obama supporters butts to get out and vote.
