I'm not sure why we would trade for another unproven PG. Conley can't shoot and seems to be struggling @ 2.3 apg on 23 mpg. I'm not sure who it would be but, I would think we could find a better deal out there. IMO

As a side act it would add another lottery pick to the team.

As much as I love Outlaw, I'm not totally opposed to this if Conley is the real deal. I know that Oden likes playing with him and this would open up minutes for Batum who has definitely impressed me. We'll see...

One thing I like about Conley is I think he could flow with the offense sort of like Batum. Conley is a pass first PG and sort of just picks his spots, at least from what I've seen.

If Roy was more aggressive I'd really like the trade. He's not though. He's a 2 that plays like a 1 at times, which is why Bayless makes a lot of sense, who is a 1 that plays like a 2 a lot.

Good point about opening up minutes for Batum. Once Webster comes back Batum could be getting as many minutes Bayless.

I really like Outlaw though. I'd hate to think he couldn't be apart of the future run after working as hard as he has.

I love Outlaw too. Okay, forget what I said. Keep Outlaw. Let the cake bake. But if Batum continues to impress.... gosh, I don't know.

Horrible idea. Yeah, let's get another mediocre PG, we only have three already. I'm not married to Outlaw, but this doesn't help us at all.

Besides, I'll take Bayless over Conley any day of the week.

I'm not totally opposed to this trade idea, but what does Conley actually bring to the table that Blake, Sergio, or Bayless doesn't?

He gets to he hole better than Blake & Sergio.
He can't shoot as good as Blake.
I have no idea how he is on defense.
Is his playmaking ability even on par with Sergio?
He probably finish better than Blake & Sergio.

He just doesn't seem like a big enough upgrade across the board to just dump Travis. Of course he's still young and has room to improve, but is he really that pure PG that can create, shoot, and finish that we need?

When it comes to finishing at the basket he looks a lot like Telfair: great moves but just can't get the ball in the hoop.

Defensively he is better than Blake(not hard), but he's decent. He won't lock anyone down but with his quickness he can stay with his man pretty good.

Conley has pretty good vision on the court and looks to pass first, something that might not go well with Roy, sort of like Blake. Blake is backup material though, Conley still has a chance to be a good starter.

He's one of the better ball handling PGs in the NBA. For example, with his quickness and dribbling ability, he can break a full-court press by himself.

It's an interesting idea but I'm not sure how much it would improve the team. I'd rather give minutes to Bayless tbh.

His potential is a healthy TJ Ford. His downside is Sebastian Telfair.

I guess I wouldn't do the trade. I'm not sure Conley is an upgrade over our current point guards- it would be messy to develop 3 prospects at the point. I think odds are decent that either Sergio or Bayless pans out.

I would trade away anyone not in our big 3 for Rudy Gay. He may end up being better than Roy and would give us a big 4. I'm not sure who sees him as a bad defender- he seems to be better at the defense than the guys that we have. I would give one player from Rudy, Outlaw, Pryzbilla and Bayless and any other non big 3 player. I'd also add a first round pick.

Conley hasn't shown me anything. He just seems not to excel at any one thing. If you bring him in, Blake has got to go.

we don't need another young unproven pg like conley. But outlaw will be the first to get traded now that webster got an extension.

He reminds me of a Kenny Anderson in his prime with New Jersey. I think Anderson had a much better jumpshot though. Kenny's floater was money.

he might seem to be because he's flashy on offense, but i've watched him a lot and he's definitely nothing close to a defensive standout. his first step and/or reaction time doesn't seem to be quick enough to stay in front of anybody or consistently make correct decisions quickly. roy and LA are certainly better defenders at their positions, which isn't saying much for him.

on topic, last night conley actually looked pretty good running the offense at times, but GS wasn't putting much pressure on him, and he again didn't finish very well on drives. also so far he hasn't shown anything close to the range needed to keep defenses honest. i've seen no evidence that he would be an upgrade over blake or sergio, or that he really has a higher upside than bayless as an all-around PG.

I like Conley and I'd might trade Outlaw for him, but not much more.

I really think we need a more veteran PG.

I am a fan of letting Bayless run the show. He meshes perfectly with Roy, who is a more passive player in the early stages of the game. Like most superstars, he picks his spots and knows when the team needs him to take over. Bayless can pick up the scoring deficiency when Roy feels like distributing, attacks the hoop, very quick which is useful on both ends of the courts, and he would dominate the rookie class if he were on a team were he could showcase his skills as a primary option. Bayless has the "it" factor when it comes to confidence and relishing the fact of playing in big games.
I'd keep Sergio too, because he is a pass-first guard we need off of the bench to spark some energy. I would probably just let Blake walk and let our PG youth grow instead of looking for a quick fix.

Nate's making Bayless earn it. I'm optimistic that he will do just that before the end of the season. I'd rather keep Blake as
    a backup and sit Sergio.

I wouldn't trade Blake, or anyone else even, for Conley.

He brings us nothing except maybe favoritism from the coach to cause bad chemistry.

Batum was given it and so was Oden (though I guess Batum has it taken away before he actually got it)... Bayless has to earn it. ;)

Back to Conley... I think he has passed Vince Carter in trade threads. =) I just don't see how trading for yet another so-so PG would help us at all.
