The line that strcuk me the most was "watching 2 more years of Kobe Bryant winning more championships..." Hope it Fre*kin happens! Anyhow, If i were LeBron, i would only sign a team that has a legitimate chance to land a legitimate big - man. Hamilton's extension covers the scoring support for Lebron, but i dont think sheed will survive the test of time once LeBron arrives. If i were LBJ, i would only look at teams with good post up guys... like Bosh's Toronto, Okafor's Bobcats, Brand's Sixers, even Al Jeff's wolves! All LBJ really needed was a big man, capable of holding his own (18ppg - 10rpg at least) night in and night out, for him to win a title.
I'm not so sure Emeka Okafor is an 18/10 kind of guy. Pistons can keep on dreaming, Jay-Z already has LeBron signed on 14 secret endorsement deals plus LeBron gets Beyonce every other weekend if he comes to the Nets. It's basically a done deal.
^^ 0>0? lol. This looks pretty legit to me, but I just hope it doesn't happen. If LeBron truly wants to emulate Jordan, he might actually want to be a one-team guy (why does no-one say this - you can ignore the Wizards). Also, the big market teams will tend to be able to offer LeBron only the chance to be one of many truly great players for the team, or players for teams in that city. What Cleveland offers is the opportunity to bring a city a Championship which for so long has been out of reach. A Championship in Cleveland would lead to a God-like status. A championship in New York? Just another number to their fans...
Pistons could be a player to sign Ben Gordon as a UFA next summer. Two seasons ago, the Cavs went to the finals with LeBron and a hot shooting Daniel Gibson. Gordon is all that Gibson is, but on steroids. Could make the Pistons more attractive to LeBron as a team to sign with. He's also a lot of what Iverson is, but at half the price.
If they get LeBron in 2010, they'll be nasty. But in the meantime, the core is broken up! Who will stop Orlando in the playoffs now?
Haha, alright. Nobody except Detroit could have stopped us last year. We would have taken down Boston or Cleveland. We just match up horribly against the Pistons and we're intimidated by them since they give us trouble each year.
