Stole this from an old Mike Lupika article so several of these are may no longer be free agents. I took out the ones I knew had resigned. Not sure why we are making such a big deal out of the Free Agent market this year. Next years is much better. I suspect that Raefs contract will be traded rather than let it expire.

It's possible that players from this year's batch could be signed to one-year deals for a lot more than their market value. The players might give up long-term security for a big pay day for a season. That way the team gets a player for a year, the player gets a lot of money and the team still have cap space next year; everyone's a winner.

BTW- I wouldn't mind us signing Nash to a 3-4 (team option) year deal. Offensively he would drastically improve this team.

I may be mistaken but Granger didn't. It had to be signed before the 31st of Ocotober. Am I wrong?

I'm pretty sure I heard he did. On ATH or somewhere, they mentioned how Indiana decided to pay Granger like a star and so far he's come through with his numbers. Maxiel I know did.

It's next summer that is the big FA market, with LBJ, Bosh, and Wade including others. That's why teams are trying to free up cap room for the summer of Lebron

From that list, how about Andre Miller or Mike Bibby. Both are on the downside of their careers and maybe we can get them for a nice budget of a steal. I'd love to have Andre Miller, but the way he played last year might cost us too much money, and he is up there in age now. But out of all those players and addressing our current needs, I can see us bringing in a veteran PG who may not be elite anymore, but still can handle the rock.
