Ouch, Roy is my favorite player and I would seriously have to consider this deal. Probably lean towards offering LMA or Rudy before I would offer Roy though. Good thing we don't have to make this decision, lol.

I would happily do that deal. I'd love to keep Batum, but honestly, he might be the headliner of the trade for San Antonio. If such a deal went down, it would be because San Antonio saw Batum, not Outlaw, as their small forward of the future, IMO.

Since we would still have LaFrentz's contract, I would gamble on being able to work something out with Josh Childress and Atlanta in the off-season, and doing a sign-and-trade. They sign-and-trade Childress to us, since we would have cap room. They do it because Childress has made it clear he won't play for them and he counts against their cap until they give up his rights.

Having a starting lineup of Parker, Roy, Childress, Aldridge and Oden, with Blake, Fernandez, Webster, Frye and Przybilla off the bench would be a fantastic roster.

Even if we can't get Childress, I am willing to see how Webster does for us as a starter.

Wow you would rather have Batum then Bayless? Batum is my favorite player but I think... wait. Now that I think about it, I would rather have Batum too.

You'd have to give up 1 of Oden, LMA, or Roy for him.

To be fair, Roy is only 3 years younger. Having said that, I would not trade Roy for Parker.

A Roy/Parker backcourt would be deadly. Possibly the best backcourt in the NBA. I see San Antonio building around Parker when Duncan heads down that hill into obscurity.

In my opinion, people in this thread are seriously over-rating Tony Parker. He's good, yet, but not great. He's not much of a facilitator and his jump shot is erratic.

I think you are drastically undervalueing him. Parker is a top 4 pg in the NBA. He's certainly more valuable than Travis, Bayless and Batum all reserves.

He's a great passer and midrange shooter. Where have you been?

His only defect is his 3PS and FTS, but that's fine considering how good he is overall.

I'd trade anyone outside of Roy, Aldridge and Oden for Parker. A young prime All-Star point guard would be immensely valuable. I wouldn't trade all our trade chips for him, but anyone outside of those three players would be on the table.

    I think it's only 3 years. (26 vs. 23).

I really don't understand why SA would even consider it, but I'd definitely do it. Hell, my ideal scenario for Bayless is basically him turning into Parker. I'd be perfectly happy to just take the real thing.

At face value I'd do that trade, although I think Batum especially could be pretty special. But the trade would leave us with only one real SF, who's out for awhile with injury. At any rate, I don't see the Spurs ever doing this. It would leave us with one amazing starting lineup.

Parker on this team would be great. I just think its extremely doubtful.

I wouldn't be thrilled to get rid of batum, but I'd do the proposed deal in a heartbeat.

As a counter to Bayless, Batum, Travis I think it might be worthwhile to consider Bayless, Travis, Channing (and whatever else it takes to make the salaries match) since I think we'd be awfully thin at small forward minus both Travis and Batum, and Webster's status still up in the air.
