My daughters, who I have trained not to use the "L" word in the house, have accidently said the "L" word when the meant to say "Blazers". I asked my seven-year-old why this was and she pointed out the similarities in the names. Get rid of the "B" and all you have to do is swap out the Z for a K and you are there. Scary isn't it?
So does all this mean as a Blazer fan, I can watch and root for the Lakers . . . because that might just bring me back to being excited about the NBA season.
Not quite. I used to torture them when the said "Go L@kers", and they extended it to not even saying the "L" word--unless they want to get tickled for several minutes.
