And us DirecTV subscribers are supposed to DEMAND they pay the Comcast ransom so we can have the privilege of watching this crap. Good god. Nothing like a monopoly to drive up prices and drive down quality. Selling out to those greedy, lying Comcast bastards is the singe dumbest thing this team has ever done - and that includes LaRue Martin and Sam Bowie. What a short sighted move that was. Can you imagine how much more ad revenue they could generate and how much more team merchandise they could sell if only WE COULD ACTUALLY WATCH THE GAMES. By granting Comcast this ridiculous monopoly they have excluded a HUGE portion of their potential customer base. BNM
Well, well, well. I just got back from the airport, crawled into bed and look what I see. Angry blazer fans. I'm in no position to comment on the quality situation, but you guys can trust me that people whose job it is to fix this kind of problem are well aware of it and are working on it.
I switched from Direct TV to get this shit? Comcast is the WORST cable company in America.........maybe the world. Greedy bastards. Now that I have cursed on the new forum, I feel better......but not about Comcast.
I noticed it last night too on DirecTV. I couldn't read the numbers of the players on the court--and this was zoomed on my 60" plasma. You have to wait for MB to tell you who made the play.
Jeez, its been like this for a while now, they known about it since last year! What have they been doing? Comcast draws the comparison to the Mac commercial where the dorky looking guy (windows) is dividing money into advertising and a little to fix vista, than just puts all the money into the advertising budget. That's Comcastic......
Hi Brad, The problem with the picture quality is at the Comcast head end in Troutdale. It is being addressed and will be fixed by our next Comcast game Monday, November 10th. Dick Vardanega Vice President-Broadcasting & Production Portland Trail Blazers -------------------------- Sweet!!!
I sent them an email last night, too. No response yet, but I hope that the issue is resolved for us Seattle viewers, too! Ed O.
Fixing the problem? like they haven't had enough time to do so? The picture quality has been like this for the...well, for ever.
Ed O, I'd be willing to bet it is (if it is fixed here that is). Fez is also correct... the picture did suck last year too... but there is a weird possiblity that no one complained about it.
There is no way what that guy said about the problem being in Troutdale is true. They had the problem all season last year too, and your going to tell me they just happened to figure out the problem is in Troutdale? I call bullcrap. I bet you the game they said it will be fixed by will be just as bad as the rest of them.
It is really on Comcast to fix. I am sure they told the Blazers it would be... but yeah... they did say there would be deals with Dish and Direct too.
Yup, they stood up and told us in May, 2007 that a deal was in the works and that CSNW would be available to all Oregon satellite subscribers "soon". Either they're big fat lying scumbags, or they are too stupid to understand what "soon" means to their customer base. I guarrantee it doesn't mean a a year and a half to the average Blazer fan, who continues to be held hostage by their greed and stupidity. BNM
Troutdale! I always knew Troutdale had it in for us Blazer fans. Since I don't get Comcast installed until Monday night, I may not get to experience what others have suffered through. At least that's the dream.
