Honestly, I think Lebron is looking at Dallas for 1 reason and 1 reason only, Jason Kidd. It's well publicized, that aside from Kobe Bryant, Lebron James would kill to play alongside the future Hall of Fame point guard. But by 2010, Kidd would be 37. Another catch? Will Kidd be still playing (despite him constantly defying time) and will he still be wearing a Mavs uniform? As it looks, Kidd's tenure with the team will depend on this seasons performance. Or will Cuban make another risk in keeping Kidd till 2010 to get the chance to lure Lebron to Dallas? Assuming this can materialize, what can a line up of Nowitski, 32, Kidd, 37 and James, 26 can do? Hmmm... with a solid supporting cast, this actually looks good. With how time flies, 2 years isn't that long. Assuming Kidd would stay healthy, I think it might just work. Kidd, by that time will have definitely lost a step or two, but I think he can still be effective, specially with Lebron. With him and Dirk, Kidd doesn't need to be all over the court. Why not? Well, all of this is wishful thinking...
Can Dallas even afford Lebron when the time comes? When 2010 rolls around, we still have Dampier, Terry, Dirk, and Josh with monster contracts, not to mention Diop's which is pretty large also.
