This game tonight is going to be the official GOTY. I don't see any other game this year having an ending like that one. Instant ESPN Classic!

i wouldn't want to watch it again. too painful watching roy selfishly throw the game away down the stretch, before getting very lucky.

until the final 10 seconds of overtime, this wasn't really a particularly good game. both teams had good points(aldridge and tmac) along with bad points(yao and roy). i'm not sure i'd call it game of the year just because there were 3 shots that were assumed to be the game winner in the final 2 seconds.

Disagree. It was a tight game throughout. Roy was struggling because Artest is ridiculous on D. Aldridge was abusing all three of houston's PFs. McGrady almost looked like himself. Rudy was making great plays. The D overall was pretty good.

The ending was just Roy being unbelievably clutch and Yao as well.

i mean not i'm saying it was a bad game until the end. just nothing special. the ending made it great, but i'd hold off on something like game of the year for a while.

You made the case right there as to why it is the GOTY. Back and forth back and forth. The last 10 seconds depicted what that whole game was.

Man who pissed in your cereal bowl?

This was one of the best games I've seen in person. WOW. We fought for this one. You could tell from the get go LA was playing with something to prove, our rebounding, blocks everything was clicking. Great game.

HAAK's argument is pretty indisputable to me.

That was a great back and forth.

The greatest back and forth ever was Magic-Pacers back in 1995. I believe it was Game 4.

In the last seconds, Brian Shaw what appeared to be a game winning three. Moments later, Reggie Miller hit what appeared to be the game winning shot. A moment later, Penny Hardaway hit what appeared to be the game winner. And then finally, at the buzzer, Rik Smits DID hit the game winner. This starts right after Brian Shaw's shot:

Reminds me a lot of what happened today.

i didn't notice at first but what the hell is tmac thinking on that last play? he's on roy and roy takes off to go get the ball and tmac just points at him and does nothing for a second and then tries to go contest the shot.

I am SO glad I had a midterm in my night class tonight, otherwise I would have had to bail class at the halfway point to go to the game!
