Did anyone notice last night we ran a Roy/Rudy backcourt for most of the second half?

Blake came in in the final minute of the game (moving Brandon to SF) but Roy ran the point for a majority of that half.

Rudy is too damn good to not keep on the floor. You have to find a way to get him playing time and this is the best way, IMO. Rudy handled the point and times also.

We have a lot of players that we have to scramble to find p/t for. That's why I'm in favor of the Gerald Wallace trade, a 3-for-1 deal is just what we need right now - consolidate!

    Couldn't help but notice.

Roy at PG is worse than I ever could have imagined. He ignored Rudy many times, and failed to get the ball downcourt in time to take advantage of numbers. We lost momentum and nearly lost the game. Roy looked like a snail trying to keep up with Alston on D.

Rudy is most valuable w/o the ball so he needs a real PG, either Sergio or Steve, to be effective.

He did the same thing last year. And I am more comfortable with the rock in Brandon's hands then anybody else on this squad!

I thought that Rudy did a good job in the second half getting the ball up the floor, and that was the difference between what happened this game, and the previous game. Roy has a harder time getting the ball up the floor. But once he gets into the half court it will be fine.

Another thing that I believe, is that Roy hitting those 2 shots last night will break him out of the rut he was in. Lets face it. If Roy had been playing well and hitting his shots, and not turning over the ball, nobody would be complaining. But he wasn't. Last nights end game plays reminded me of the type that ignited the team to a winning streak last year, and I bet they give Brandon a lot more confidence, and less thinking too much.

All those turnovers for a guy that has a reputation of not making mistakes was alarming and then his Zbo impersonation in the 4th before he hit the big shot had me disgusted. He had open teammates he was ignoring. But all is forgiven when you win. We were lucky to have a friendly timekeeper on that last shot.

I have seen alot of complaints about the time keeper. Maybe he could or could not get that shot off in .8 seconds. Frankly, I don't care. The touch foul they called at the other end with 1.6 seconds left was bullshit as well. You want to tell me Roy would get that call? Or some the bullshit calls T-Mac got? The sad fact is the game was poorly called on both sides of the ball and that was just one example. Every single game Palmer calls is a total joke.

I'm not complaining about winning the game. With .8 seconds you have time to catch and shoot. Not catch turn and shoot. I'd pissed and so would you if the other team made that shot. Someone needs to take Violet Palmer's whistle from her.

I put the stopwatch on Roy's shot and it's too close for me to call.

Roy was having a lot of trouble with Artest - but most players do. He is bigger and stronger and physical. Despite that - he was still able to take over the game when he needed to and got the W. That's the mark of a great player.
