geez... smell the hate you've got cooking. By state law in Minnesota, when election results are within 0.5% they have an automatic recount... and the difference in this case is just 0.01% or a 50th of that. Much like NBA officials reviewing the final moments of a game winning shot to make sure it was out of the shooter's hands in time, I like to see that they are making sure they get the count right. Human error isn't stealing, but not double checking for it when it might decide the outcome of something as important as a Bball game is negligent. Instead of calling one potential Senator or the other names, heres hoping that whoever is eventually shown to have won gives their best effort representing the 32nd state. They had a very high turnout of voters this election and the will of the people should be reflected. STOMP
Sorry dude, but Franken is deserving of my hate. I wouldn't give a rat's ass about other races like this.
And why is that? All you've done in this thread is call him names, so I am not clear on what your vigorous objection to him stems from. barfo
Aside from the fact I've seen him as a TV personality for about 30 years and he's always grated on me, you might consider the books he wrote are nothing but spewing hate. He's the lefty version of Michael Savage. I wouldn't want either to be elected to any office.
Exactly. What horrible thing has AF done to you to cause to you have this righteous loathing of him? Did he burn down your house or what??? do you live in Minnesota? STOMP
He's doing nothing wrong here, regardless of how one feels about him. Recount is automatic, by Minnesota policy, when the election is this close. It's not like he rushed to the courts to contest the election.
This is a very good point. I love listening to Michael Savage as it entertains me. Having Weiner in office might not be so good. As for Franken, he is bad enough, stupid enough, and gosh darnit people hate him.
The report I saw on both MSNBC and FOX News was that the original vote tally of 406 was a typo, and it was supposed to be 506. The mistake was corrected. These weren't "new votes found." The recount hasn't even started. Obviously, Coleman is going to claim voter fraud. I wouldn't say his camp is exactly objective. Considering it was reported as a clerical errior by both a left-wing and a right-wing media source, I trust that more than what Coleman's camp claims. In any case, with or without the 100 votes, the election was close enough for an automatic recount. Those 100 votes weren't some attempt to trigger a recount. If they're "fake," then the recount will reflect that. Those 100 votes don't make a difference, which leads me to believe that it's not a matter of fraud. No one risks fraud for zero gain.
