I think point guard is the last of the Bulls' worries, honestly. Hinrich's only out three months. Rose can man the position for thirty plus minutes a game. Thabo and Gordon can fill in spirts. If this is the worst injury the Bulls encounter this season, they're in decent shape.
So what. I'm not seeing the need to sign up another PG. On the other hand, I'm perfectly content to cut Ruffin or Nichols and sign one of them up.
Pax was happy to force Skiles to play Hinrich 40 minutes/game at PG for much of his rookie season. After he traded Rose, our guards were Hinrich, Crawford, Pargo, Gill, and Brunson. Seems to me that Rose not only can handle it better, but it's a good idea.
