I'd guess Gooden would play based on the fact he came back. Kirk might be out for a while, I guess. Which should make for an interesting guard rotation.

Also, both of these guys played some kick ass defense last night.

Hinrich really came out like a house on fire last night. If he keeps this up he can be a real asset. (if) The D was solid.

If he can continue to play well trading this guy for nothing would be really foolish, IMO.

That pretty much sucks. While I think he needs to go, that really sucks.

The whole point guard role will pretty much be on DRose...this is bad...I will keep my head up and say that we can keep atleast a 50 percent win lose record.

It's bad, but it has the silver lining that the return of Larry Hughes won't cause huge dissension, and might actually help a bit.

And that we'll be forced to play Rose significant minutes, and probably to use Ben as the primary backup point and see how he handles that.

I'm looking forward to those things even if the result is occasionally brutal.

So far, Gordon is having the best season of his career, IMO. 20PPG on 50% FG and 46% 3pt WITH 3.7 assists. In under 30 MPG to boot.

On the bright side, something like this was probably the only way our guard rotation was going to get cleared up. I agree with others that this can produce some good effects for the team, even if they are tough to stomach in the short run.

We pretty much have a three guard rotation now, and maybe this window will be enough to make a decision on Thabo. Does he play well enough to trade him? Does he allow us to trade other guys and have a legitimate replacement for them? Or is he just not that good and we don't worry about him?

Now is probably as good a time as any to make a decision.

    The good: More Gordon.

    The bad: More Sefolosha.

The semi-good: Sefolosha will go back to his role of human victory cigar when Hughes comes back.

Paxson said yesterday before the game that they are exploring options for help outside of the organization.

I'm pretty much in agreement with this.

My take on Thabo is that he's got to become 4th guard and do the things he does best when given the chance. If he can come in a game and hassle LeBron for enough minutes, maybe he'll score a little less - enough for us to eek out the win. Asking him to start and produce like a starting G isn't looking very promising.

It will be great to see Hughes come back and see what he can do for us when in playing shape.

I'm not eager to see Hughes, except insofar as he's not Thabo.

In truth though, I don't think Thabo has been awful. I just think it's tough to play him when most of our other players aren't scorers either. I'd be interested in seeing them play a few minutes with a Rose/Hughes, Gordon, Thabo, Noc, Gooden/Gray lineup when they need to give the starters a break. That'd basically put Thabo in a position to do what he does defensively while having plenty of offensive firepower out there.

    Wow.

Thabo's started 5 games and he's scored 22 points for the season. He's shooting 34% and is 0-6 from 3pt.
