Way...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much home cooking for the Lakers. They really bought the officials for this game. Rockets were playing well and running away with the game, but the officials made certain that wasn't going to happen and allowed the lakers to do whatever they wanted to the rockets, but if the rockets even looked at a laker they were whistled. Top that with McGrady having another crappy game and you ain't winning.

Well, the Lakers met the Rockets at the perfect time during the season.

The Rockets don't play the Lakers again until January 13.

Both sides can complain about fouls that weren't made. No blatant missed calls against the Rockets, other than that goaltend by Kobe. But that was an example of Tracy making a lazy, unfocused attempt at a score, and Kobe doing the opposite on defense. So I'll live with that.

The Rockets just got spanked by a superior team. Our half-court offense has been terrible all year, and this really wasn't a surprise for me. We are a very poor offensive team in terms of playing 5-man basketball, and the Lakers strong-side "zone" totally threw us off. I'll repeat what I said in the Celtics game thread -- our offense has a LONG, LONG way to go.

Wow. Rafer still hasn't gotten out of his shooting slump. McGrady's playing like a pussy. 2 points and now 3 points? WTF You are a damn superstar. Yao Ming is soft. Ron Artest only 8 points? Aaron Brooks seems to bring his energy every single game. But seriously. With McGrady and Yao only combining for 15 points, we aren't going to win ANY games. But seriously, 3 points? Are you kidding me?

Anyone beginning to see why I was so ready to trade Tracy away? I mean the guy, injury or not, isn't producing much of anything. I mean Sasha held him to not points for christ's sake.

And his injury cannot be THAT bad. Fuckn Kobe has been playing with a hurt finger for a good 6-7months now.

    **Shakes head in shame**

That's all I can do at this point.

It seems we're cursed to be underachievers...I know it's early, but damn....as of now, we suck.

I'm a Lakers fan living in houston so I rarely watch the Rockets but I dont know how Rockets fans can stand to watch the game while listening to Bill Worrell and Matt whatever his name is... I cant think of his last name. They are the worst commentators in the league. They are just so biased and they let it show every game I watch. You don't get that from the Joel Myers and Stu Lantz who do the Lakers games. They tell it how it is. Bill and Matt just B!T@H the entire game.:NOTMARIS:

Most commentators that I have heard are very biased towards their team. Like I watched a Milwaukee game once, and they were talking how Gadzuric was better than Yao. I think Yao ran up like 26 that game too. So it's just natural. In LA, Stu and Joel, Stu especially, are just very unbiased. They are very realistic in terms of the Lakers opponents and their skill levels and other players and their talent levels. It makes watching the Lakers a very pleasant experience. I mean other teams should catch Stu someday, he praises other teams like no one else will, and he will acknowledge the talent of other players more so than anyone else when their team is playing them.

Yeah I know. I hear others when I watch other games I guess the Rockets commentators just stick with me since I hear them second most to Joel and Stu. They really are terrible though. I just hate it because I feel for the less educated fans who can't see whats going on with their own two eyes and just have to take the garbage the commentators feed them. They need to watch more Lakers games and learn lol.

The Rockets used to be my 2nd favorite team but I finally got tired of alot of my friends that are Rockets fans and Laker haters. To add to that I can't stand T-Mac. He's the absolute opposite of Kobe as far as mental toughness goes but alot of Rockets fans can see it. To think people use to argue T-mac over Kobe..........:biglaugh:

Understandable. I don't hear as many Laker haters over in SoCal :D

I think T-Mac is done. Seriously. Right now I think Houston should trade for him while is value is still semi-okay. I mean better now then down the road when it gets worse. There is talent available.

i've been busy this past week so I haven't been able to comment in here, but all I have to say is as long as Yao and Tracy continue with their soft play, we will never be contenders. How in the hell do you let radmanovic hold you to 3 points??????? How do you let Kendrick Perkins outplay and outman you?????

I will say when Battier gets back that he should probably be inserted in the starting lineup, because Tracy and Ron don't look comfortable with one another on the court yet......Our role players and 2nd unit continue to impress me though.....It's still early in the season and we haven't gotten battier or deke back yet, so I'm not ready to push panic yet.........but our superstars have got to come ready to play every night.

I like their commentary too, I think they are pretty fair and they call the Lakers out when needed.

bill worrell can be a homer just like any other commentator, but over the years he's always seemed to a good job of reporting what actually happens instead of being totally bias.......Bullard can be objective as well, but his corny jokes just kill it for me.......................I miss Calvin Murphy.............

The Rockets announcers are homers, but they can be pretty funny at times. That said, if there's a national telecast available I'll always watch that instead of the local one. I can't stand all the bitching about officiating from Bill and Matt.

Calvin Murphy. Do you ever listen to his show on 97.5? He is entertaing but man I have lost just about all respect for his basketball opinion. He says some of the most outrageous things I have to just turn him off sometimes lol.

Every fan thinks that commentators for other teams are biased. When it comes down to it, these commentators are working for the team, and are catering mostly to local fans. It won't sit well with Rockets fans if Bill Worrell just nitpicks on Yao or TMac all game. They are influenced somewhat because they do spend time with the team and are on a personal level with most players, so their views are skewed, but I don't really have a problem with it. Worrell does a great job of describing the action on the court and Bullard has some good insight into the game. Clyde Drexler is the worst of the bunch.

Also, the Rockets commentators aren't the biggest homers. Tommy Heinsohn anyone?

i would be fine with this, lol

I catch it when I can, he might say a thing or two I disagree with from time to time, but mostly I think he's right on point....

clyde really does suck as a commentator, but I can't deny that I love laughing at his suckiness throughout the game.....that alone makes me think he's worthy of sitting next to Bill................
