I am absolutely impressed by this team. I didn't get to see the game, but I expected it to be a lot closer than this. From the looks of it, the defense looked like it was fantastic in the second half. At this point in time, this team looks unstoppable. The offense has been clicking and the defense has been fantastic so far. This great start leads me to think that it's going to be very tough for ANY team to beat us.
Kobe was the hero today. Ariza was the hombre. But Bynum needs a lot of credit too for his excellent defense on Yao Ming. Yao was virtually a non-factor against us today. Laker fans, ask yourselves, when was the last time Yao didn't kill us? I don't remember... Props to Bynum. The scariest thing is, he isn't even 100% yet.
This all assumes you develop chemistry. You have three players who have been the guy at some point in their career, and I'm not sure if any of them will want to play third wheel, which could create some issues.
You can tell Bynum still doesn't have his touch back, but his defense is fucking amazing. That is all I want from him right now--Defense.
That's about all any of us should be asking for. We have enough offense that we don't need him to score a lot, we just need him to defend the post, and he's doing that damn well so far this year.
Yep. Defense is what we need from him, and rebounding. I want Bynum to get 10 pts a game on 5 offensive rebound putbacks and 3 blks. Get that and the Lakers will win.
Our bench is unbelievable. This was a convincing win and a strong message to the rest of the league. Kobe completely shutdown TMac in this game and Houston couldn't get anything else going. If Brooks and Landry didn't produce the way they did last night, it would have been even uglier.
