That was funny. Anyway, I wouldnt mind getting him. The only problem I see is that with Frank he will take more PT from the young guys. Frank is already limiting Anderson's PT.
he'll get a chance to play. These things are in flux. It's a long season. If healthy, Najera and Yi are going to play. I guess it is possible that Najera could play some SF if Simmons and/or Jarvis Hayes get hurt.
In principle, I don't have a problem with Frank's logic in sitting Ryan to give Najera a chance. As Frank said, the guy was signed for 4 years for a reason, and the bad luck of his training camp injury means that game time is the only way for him to really catch up. There's a goal there of getting all the players familiar with one another and with the system, and no one has more time to make up than Najera. I do have a problem, however, with Frank continuing to let Ryan rot on the bench in the late 3rd and 4th quarter of the Indiana game, when the Nets were starved for SOMEONE playing the forward position to be able to make a shot or contribute on the offensive end in any way. That's where he has to say, "I've given Yi most of 3 quarters to do something, I've given good minutes to Najera, and he's not producing. So I've gotten the vet some needed minutes and I've gotten the young stud some deep minutes. Now it's time to try to win the game. Let me get Ryan in there, and see if he can provide the missing spark for a last run." I just don't understand how you don't do that as a coach.
I agree... was surprised Anderson didn't get a run in the 4th. They desperately needed someone that could score and it was a prime opportunity to give him some court time.
