Montreal based MMA promotion TKO, formerly the UCC, canceled its latest show. The owner/operator of the organization has also stepped down.

TKO has produced UFC luminaries Georges St. Pierre, Patrick Cote, David Loiseau, Jon Goulet, Mark Hominick, Krzysztof Soszynski, and Sam Stout.

In related news, ProElite's acquisitions (King of the Cage, Icon Sport, Cage Rage, and SpiritMC) are all between a rock and a hard place at the moment. It is expected that Icon may return to being an independent promotion in Hawaii but Cage Rage is expected to fold and King of the Cage is in dire straights.

none of this is good news because it's makes it that much harder for up and coming fighters to get the necessary experience to become good fighters and hopefully make bigger orgs like the UFC and well.. umm WEC??

good golly is the MMA world crumbling!
