Tammy Duckworth I know the last name will pass the test, but she was fighting in Iraq when she was wounded. She lost both of her legs, from the knee down. She has been a strong advocate for better treatment of vets, if you think she would be a good person to head up the care of our vets please contact your representative. Some wiki on her http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tammy_Duckworth
Anyone will be better than Bush's 8 years of pissing on our vets and kicking them into the gutter. Republicans have historically mistreated the vets, and McCain was no different.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...................................... Wake me when the Maris61 "republicanscandonorightandliberalsnowrong" drama is over.
Either attempt to dispute facts or go away and spare us your empty retorts. The Repubs and McCain have crushed the last 11 bills that came up to help Vets. Rebuttal?
I don't deny that, as a vet myself, I have had some real heartache with the Bush administration and how he has handled vets. However, there have been some very good things he's done, but you don't have the intellectual guts to admit it since you live 100% brainwashed that a rebublican could never to anything positive. Your dribble is so bad, it's actually funny- in a sad & pathetic way.
Total bullshit. The VA budget as requested for 2009 is 93 billion. More than double than what it was when Clinton was in office. Through Bush's first term the budget increased faster in four years than it did in Clinton's eight.
She's also been mentioned often as a candidate to be appointed to finish out Obama's term in the US Senate (she's from Illinois). Would be interesting to give it to someone who's never held elected office, but probably better than giving it to someone else more plugged into the Illinois (corrupt) Dem political scene.
If given the choice between the two jobs, I wonder which one she would choose. I would think Senator as it would be a job for life.
