you realize that the utah game was a one point game with 47 seconds left, right? not exactly what i would call being beaten handily.

I watched the entire Lakers-Mavs game tonight.

I have learned and now I will post:

The Lakers are a great team. A fantastic team that could well reach the finals and give the Cs or LeBron their very best showing. I hope the Blazers get there, but I have much respect for the Lakers.

    Go Blazers

I don't know if Houston has proven to be a great team yet. They've got the ability to, but until they learn how to play consistently, I can't consider them one of the great teams in the NBA. Orlando...I like them too...but again...they've been inconsistent again this year. Obviously we know what they can do, but they're still a mediocre 4-3.

Well watch another Lakers game then because that was by far their worst effort of the year. Lakers made brainfart after brainfart and STILL won

The Lakers had played very well this year. They should - they got the core that took them to the finals last year, with a healthy Bynum and Ariza. No surprised there.

But, let me tell you - that the Blazers play at the start of the season (first game and the road games against Utah / PHX) was not discouraging to me - because despite the fact that they were playing without 2 starters in all these games (well, we did get 4 good minutes from Oden against the Lakers) - they were only out of the Lakers game while working many new rookies into the rotation.

I still doubt that the Blazers will contend this year - but if they slowly get healthy - I will be surprised if they do not win 50 games this year.

^Ill give POR its props...did not expect them to start so well...but I also didnt expect the Spurs to suck so bad to start the year, Utah to miss a 10 footer to win the game, and Roy hit a 35 footer to win the game...a W is a W

It was Mike Finley who missed the 10 footer. Not Utah.

^ Well, he's right, the Utah Jazz are incapable of making 10 foot jumpers.

Plus Utah beat us. And it's tough to beat us missing a 10 footer. At least that's what I've heard.

the word is in: Oden had 22 pts & 10 rebs in his FOURTH full NBA game tonight. Bynum hasn't had a 20/10 game this season. Oden just had his 4th game. Bynum is in his 4th season.

    Oden is better and younger.

    Mismatch.

I really do not like this thread - but I have to agree - it will be Greg's health or an effing miracle for Bynum to be a better player than Greg - and this is not because he is a bad player, on the contrary - he is a great player - but Greg is out of this world.

Yes. Unlike the first time they met, I believe Oden will win the next one, hands down.

It's not like he's a china doll. He'll be fine. Enough with this "injury prone" shit.

I have bad news for you. Greg Oden is a project too. He's probably showing about 30% of what he can do right now. He's scratching the surface of what he can do and he's fucking dominating the paint in stretches.

Bynum is a nice player, but it's not going to be a close comparison when it's all said and done.
