In order for the Blazers to win this game, they are going to need a hell of a game from Aldridge on the inside. But looking at Miami, he should have a pretty good size advantage there.
Me too. Bayless should start. But something tells me that Nate wont play him much, which pisses me off. J. Bay needs to play.
Look for Aldridge to float tonight because of his sore neck http://trailblazerscentercourt.blogspot.com/2008/11/lamarcus-aldridges-pain-in-neck.html
Well... I think Beasley is way too strong for Batum. Based on Miami's last starting lineup I'd put: Blake/Sergio on Mario Chalmers Batum on Wade (for a bit to see how that works) Rudy on Diawara/Daequan Cook Aldridge/Outlaw on Beasley Oden/Joel on Haslem They only go eight deep..
Damn LaMarcus... having too much fun on South Beach with the ladies (or Rebecca Haarlow), got back and fell asleep wrong after a long night. Kidding.
If Wade is on, I hope Nate tries both Batum and Bayless on Wade. Whichever is more effective stays in. They don't need to do much else other than defend.
You guys are jumping the gun. Roy is in tonight (apparently). http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2008/11/excited_oden_worried_roy_to_pl.html
Marion's been out the past few games with a sore groin... he's a game-time decision http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/story/767194.html
Roy, who has been experiencing lower back spasms since the last minute of Monday's win in Orlando, said he is "90-to-95 percent" sure he will play in the nationally televised (ESPN) game. "The only thing I'm a little worried about is when I go from the bent position to straight up really fast,'' Roy said. "I woke up this morning like, 'Man, if I had just one more day - if the game was tomorrow night - I would be perfect. But that's not the case. I'm hoping once I warm up tonight it will get even better.'' After talking to Roy while we were both seated on the press table at AmericanAirlines Arena, Roy sat up and rose to his feet. "See, right there,'' Roy said. "That's when it hurts.'' Roy said he plans to engage in a hard pregame workout tonight, during which he will experiment executing all his moves. "Who knows, in warmups I might do some move and it might lock up,'' Roy said. "And I might have to tell coach, 'As bad as I want to, I can't move'. But we will see. The good thing is it's not the heel or knee.''
it hurts roy to stand up? and he is going to play? maybe he should sit todays game out and play friday
"The only thing I'm a little worried about is when I go from the bent position to straight up really fast" If he never sits down he won't have to stand up real quick. Play him 48 minutes Problem solved. LOL
It's a long season. Roy needs to sit out this game and get well. We do have this guy from Spain I hear is pretty good. I think we'll be fine.
I did not forget LeBron at all. I clearly said that he has only Kobe to combat for the title of 2nd best player in the league. It is clear who #1 is...
I don't think he will be that effective in the game if he sits on the press table anyway - so hopefully this will not be a problem...
