Amazing how far he has come in this area. Who would have ever guessed it when he was drafted. ESPN Stats Hawes was 0-3 last night, so Travis moves up.
I know it's very early in the season, but leading in Makes, Attempts, and Percentage is pretty awesome.
He's nowhere near leading in makes or attempts. He's tied for 73rd in attempts and 17th in makes. Outlaw's improved 3-point shooting is indeed promising, but 20 shots is a very small sample size. BNM
His 2-point FG% is pretty terrible, though, and the mid-range jumper is supposed to be his bread and butter. (Just to be negative.)
Hey, amazingly enough a player gets put into a run and gun system and his offensive stats go up. There are about 30 players in this league that should give Mike D'Antoni half their paychecks.
While it is true that he is not the top shooter, his sample size is pretty good. He is up with Steve Nash.
Perfect! We don't want him anywhere near the leader in attempts. Top 10 in percentage would be awesome.
if he keeps this up i will want him more than webster. i also hope he keeps playing within the offense. i love travis(nohomo) when plays within the offense. i cant stand when he puts his head down and drives out of control...hes also rebounding good
It won't last (nobody, to my recollection, shoots >50% in volume threes for a whole season), but anything above 40% is golden. Go, Trout! (and Rudy, too!) iWatas
Does anyone recall a season where this many players opened up with such hot shooting? 18 guys at 50% or better, with most of them averaging ~3 attempts per game. Six at 60% or better, and all but one of them at 15+ attempts? That's ridiculous.
Even more amazing, they got his name right and have a picture of the correct person on his player page!
I already have a thread to address this. And people got pissed when I suggested that Outlaw was one of the best in the league.
