So far this year: LaMarcus 99 Brandon 101 Rudy 125 Travis 133 Joel 144 Sergio 191 Nicolas 204 Steve 226 Channing 240 Ike 335 Jerryd 369 Greg 372
If this is off topic, does that mean like how many chicks they get per 48 minutes on the town? CUZ that would be sweet yo!
Yes, it is: http://www.nba.com/statistics/playe...&sortOrder=7&splitDD=All Teams&pager.offset=0 The number is where they rank in the league. It changes daily. Can a mod move this for me?
all you have to do is look at the top 7 to see how meaningless it is unless you remove people that don't play much. hollinger's PER rankings are a little more realistic indication of where our players stand - NBA rank: #28 rudy #29 roy #39 LA #53 outlaw etc. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/holl.../insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics
EFF is one of the statistics that I personally do not like - since they do not adjust for pace. PER is a little better because of that. I would not worry too much about it... Using PER - Rudy is 28, Brandon is 29, LA is 39, Travis 53, Blake 111, Batum 152, Joel 201, Sergio 205 (that's a big jump for him from last year - but he is still way too low for the love people give him), Frye 239 Of course, PER does not reflect defensive contributions well - this explains why Joel is so low, why Rudy is above Roy, why Blake is as high as he is and why Batum's value is not properly reflected. It also tells you a sad story about Sergio - he is not as good as these rankings project him.
Click on the option marked "qualified" and it filters out statistical anomalies (like DeAndre Jordan, before Ed O. gets excited that his pre-draft assessment was dead on). If you do that: 32 - LaMarcus 35 - Brandon 85 - Travis 104 - Rudy 130 - Joel Still not great. Good thing EFF is effing useless... (Obviously it doesn't measure defense AT ALL, because Zach Randolph comes in at 19 and Al Jefferson at 9).
What I don't get is why Maris would post some stat that doesn't support his theory that Sergio is one of the best players on the team. I'm very puzzled right now.
