[Game Thread] Houston @ Phoenix Suns 11/12

Houston needs to win this game period. If Houston wants to be considered with the elite teams in the league, it has to start by beating teams like Phoenix. Phoenix is a high powered offense led by both Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire. Shaq may be old, but he can show flashes of his old self from time to time. Our team really has to step up the defense. Also watch T-Mac tonight, he'll be matched up with defensive player, Raja Bell. Yao has played some great games against Shaq in the past, but this season Yao has looked soft and non-aggressive. Everyone needs to step it up, while Brooks, Landry, and Hayes need to maintain their high level of energy and play so far.

I'll start posting and watching this game after my Laker game is over

Game has started!

Alston stripped the ball from Amare, but Scola traveled with it.

Phoenix is going to Shaq early to get him that record, Nash made the three.

Yao got blocked by Shaq.

Barnes just droves right down the middle of our defense. WTF!

Yao missed the right handed hook.

Scola missed the easy baseline jumper.

Barnes just nailed the open three....come on guys.

Scola open dunk on the pick and roll with Ron.

We aren't covering Phoenix's pick and roll and pick and pops....

Ron got fouled by Shaq.

 

Scola missed the layup. Yao dunked it back in.

Rafer missed a three...again.

Shaq had a nice spin move on Yao, then got fouled. Shaq made both! Wow!

Yao jumper over Shaq.

Missed three by Tracy.

Tracy got fouled by Amare. He split the free throws.

Scola missed another jumper.

Yao got blocked again, gets it back and misses it.

Scola missed another open jumper...he seems to be leaning forward on every shot...they all have hit the front of the rim.

Brooks just blew by everyone for the layup.

Tracy got the layup from the Alston pass.

End of the 1st Quarter. We're up 23-22.

 

Artest missed the layup, Chuck tipped it, Landry made the layup.

Robin Lopez just took on Hayes and Brooks by himself on the defensive end.

Landry missed jumper.

Brooks got fouled on the three! Aaron made 2 of 3.

Brent missed a three.

Lopez missed a dunk.

 

Yao is back in and so is Shaq.

Landry with the offensive board and got fouled. Made them both.

Yao dove for the ball, Brent behind the back pass for a Landry layup! Great play and hustle.

Ron missed the open three from Yao.

Brooks with the pull up jumper. And another jumper.

Ron blocked Hill's shot.

Yao got blocked by Shaq, but it helped being under the rim. Yao really needs to learn how to jump.

Noone on our side besides Rafer and Brooks are scoring. Yao has 11 rebounds.

Well I got a whole half down

 

Wow Aaron Brooks is AMAZING! He plays with so much confidence. He just went in made two straight 10-12 footers. Hit a 3 pointer early, got fouled on a 3 pointer. BLOCKED GRANT HILL'S FAST BREAK LAYUP! OMG THAT HAS TO BE A TOP 10 PLAY! McGrady not playing many minutes but hit a few shots. Yao Ming playing good. I like his passes. Artest with a great shot to end the half. If we can keep up our play in the 2nd half, we can win this! And did anyone see that play where Yao was on the floor, passed it to Brent Barry, Barry behind the back to Landry for the finish. OMG that was awesome!

But yeah, some great plays this half.
