Did anyone see this happen? Cause to pull that from your locker is a pretty big thing. He should fight Dwight.

Sean doesn't have the size/strength at the 5. His strength is athleticism and altering shots. He doesn't need to play center in order to have an impact on this team.

It's the only position he knows. He has no jumpshot or post moves. And yes he doesn't have the strength to play center. That's the problem. He's great at blocking shots. Nothing else. If he could rebound well then he maybe challenging Boone for playing time.

Sean would be better suited at the 4. If he had more size, I wouldn't mind him at the 5. I don't care how strong you are. You need width/size to play the 5. But at the 4, I seem to recall a game last year where he gave KG some trouble guarding him. He's not the brightest on man to man D, but he's still athletic enough to still challenge a jumper/dunk attempt when he recovers. On team/help D he could be one of the best in the league. I don't care if he avg 0 rebounds/or 0 pts a gamer. If he can alter shots, and have guys team rebound or a guy like Lopez/Boone with him to grab a board...anything else would be a bonus. He also doesn't need post moves/jump shots to be effective offensively. Sure it helps a great deal, but players can run the floor and move without the ball to get scoring opportunities. All of Sean's higher scoring games were off lobs, rolling to the basket, and on the break.

He tore off his nameplate, and the piece of wood it was on. He didn't pull the entire locker off the wall!

I don't know what to say can you blame Sean or can you blame this team?

Look at the rookies the Nets pick up

Marcus Williams he is on his way out of the league. He is so bad that he can't find minutes on a Donnie Nelson team????

Zoran where is he playing again?

    Wright won't even go there

Krstic was a good player but he thought he was better than what he really is. A big man who mainly shoots from the outside and can't rebound and gets bullied by players half his size. I knew he wasn't long for this league.

    now Sean Williams.

Josh Boone seems to be the only player who is experiencing some type of success.

Usually on a team that is going through rebuilding you would give the young players game playing time but I guess that's not the case here

Because solid defense and blocking out with no rebounds and no points from Collins drew massive amounts of criticism.

Not that Williams is anywhere near the positional defender that Collins was, but your description of what you want out of Williams fit Collins to a tee.

    (1) How many of these players were lottery picks?
    (2) What is the success rate of non-lottery big men? (hint: take a guess, and divide by at least two)
    (3) It's unclear whether you are complaining that the youngsters weren't given a chance, or that they just sucked. Clearly, Wright and Zoran were given opportunities.
    (4) To call Krstic a bust ignores his success. He was averaging around 16 and 8 when he got hurt! For a still-young 7-footer, those numbers were pretty stunning.

To a "tee?" No, it's a totally different scenario. He was nowhere worth the money he was getting. It also takes a lot more than boxing out and being a good "positional" defender, to be a starter on a team that wants to win a title. Collin's improvement since his rookie year, is near nonexistent. His least season, it wasn't just the fans, the organization got fed up because he actually got worse.

I really don't think you understood my reasons for wanting Sean at the 4, if you're trying to compare him with Collins.
