Affliction co-founder Todd Beard told a radio show he wanted Randy Couture to be defeated by Brock Lesnar. This is while Randy's Xtreme Couture clothing line was being promoted by Affliction. In response, Randy called him a drunk and stopped being a spokesperson for them, pulling his clothing line from their company. After verbal threats, Kim Couture got a restraining order against Beard. And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Beard is a convicted felon. His baby's mama got a restraining order against him alleging he was threatening and physically abusive towads her, including punching her in her stomach while pregnant. He pleaded guilty to a scheme in which he bilked elderly persons out of more than $10M in a mail fraud scam. Word out now is that Donald Trump won't be able to co-promote with a convicted felon in New Jersey, so the Trump-Affliction partnership could be out the window, much like the Affliction-Golden Boy partnership, and the Affliction-Randy Couture partnership, and the Affliction-EliteXC partnership...

Here's to hoping Mark Cuban can put together a good honest MMA company to give the UFC a little tiny bit of competition. Seems like everyone else is straight incompetent or dishonest, or both.

    Re: Affliction's co-owner is a felon

Mark Cuban is a crazy, egotistic, billionaire I think he has a really good shot at creating a MMA org that can challenge the UFC. Only thing I can think of that will stop him is he won't be patient enough to build it from the ground up slowly.

I believe what Dana White said, Mark Cuban cares about HDNet tv and only wants MMA to help sell his channel.

I don't think he'll ever start up an MMA org and it doesn't look like there's anyone coming up who is going to start and Org. UFC is the dominant brand in the world without any solid competition at all.

What Dana White said may be true. To be honest I don't really know how interested Cuban is in MMA, I am just saying that if he was really interested he has the resources to make it a good one.
