On the Warriors.com schedule, it has tonight's game at 7:30 on TNT. However, my comcast guide has the Dallas vs. Chicago game starting at 6:30 on TNT. Did TNT switch games and leave us out in the cold, or is my guide wrong? Also, where can we get the live stream of this game (maybe from Detroit local TV), if indeed it isn't on Bay Area local TV / or national TV?
edit- TNT website has the Warriors on at 7:30, so I think comcast's digital guide is just wrong. Go Warriors!
My (near courtside, 5th row) report: Unfortunately, the best player on the court last night? No not Andris. Rasheed Wallace. Despise that guy as an opponent, always whining about some call, never happy. Just a built in irritant. That all being said, he's just a great fundamentally sound player. He can do everything. Post up with the sweet hook in the lane, block shots, rebound in traffic, make the good outlet. Does not try to do too much. Someone I would no doubt pick as one of the top 6 players on a team. He may be slowing down but he's still oh so solid. Here's the shining example of Rasheed, its a 3 on 2 fastbreak in the 3rd quarter and he's running at the right elbow with a guard in the middle and the 3rd player on the left wing; just below the free throw right elbow he gets the pass and instead of going up with a somewhat contested layup, Rasheed makes one of the sweetest instant touch passes to the guy on the left wing for a lay in. How many guys over 6'10" make that pass? The vision, the anticipation. I bet he's the only elite guy in the league who makes that pass. If I'm the Lakers, I'm looking to trade Odom for Rasheed. I never thought that I would come back from an exciting game posting about Rasheed, but that's my lasting memory from last night; oh yeah and those 2 3 pters? Just killers with the Warriors in the zone and right in front of me; looked good all the way while Andris was sagging into the paint.
That's a great analysis of Sheed. It'd be nice if BWright can turn into something like him as far as post play is concerned. i don't expect Wright to drain 3's any time soon.
