Coming off of a loss to the Atlanta Hawks, the Bulls will now host Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks at the United Center in another chance to get another home win...or loss. There isn't too much to say about this game beside play tight defense and solid offense to get the W. The Bulls did a smart thing by acquiring ex Piston Lindsey Hunter because this gives our team some needed seniority, defense and leadership in the point guard position that we lack with Derrick Rose at the moment. Don't get me wrong, Derrick Rose is a great rookie that can drive the ball and even make a spectacular pass every now and then, but he's still a newb. He has a lot to learn about being an NBA standard point guard. Expect Jason Kidd to try and take advantage of Rose's inexperience, but that is where Hunter comes in so that rose can compete complete.

    Moving onto our other players:

Ben Gordon will need to be more creative in finding his shot tonight otherwise he gets double teamed putting us at HIGH risk for turnovers.

Luol Deng will need to cut to the rim as much as possible and USE HIS BODY...He has a big body so he should use it...otherwise he's big for nothing...sort of like Shawn Bradley being tall for shit.

Tyrus Thomas...He shouldn't shoot the damn ball :tsktsk: ....Just slash to the hole and dunk it...He shouldn't even try to lay it in...just DUNK it.

Aaron Gray...He should go for what he knows...just try to post up and draw fouls..and be ready to tip it back in case he misses the shot.

Joakim Noah...He should keep up the energy on the defensive end in and take around the basket lay ins when opened.

Andres Nocioni...He should find his spots so that Derrick Rose can hand him the ball for an open look...it'll be his job to hit his shots more often.

All players will need to play aggressive defense because the Mavs are a great scoring team and cannot be sagged off on.

I did alot of typing..can the Bulls return the favor with a clean cut win?

Tune on the League Pass audio or Broadband (if you have it)...or a link may be placed in this thread if one is available.

Did they really start Noah on Dirk? Or was that a switch I didn't notice?

14 - 2 Dallas leads....commentators saying the Bulls aren't playing with energy....We have a joke of a team that's what it looks like...

    BG missed 1 freethrow...now 16 to 3.

Bulls down by 3 due to a serious display of shooting by Ben

I really wish the Bulls could keep Noc, lately, but I don't see how they can pay him what they pay them when they have so many other glaring holes and are so close to the luxury tax

Deng really stepped up in the second quarter there. The last three games or so he's really been taking it to the hoop.

It's like it's scripted. Bulls go down big, other team loses interest and stops playing D. BG gets space and no defensive rotations and gets hot. Bulls climb back in. I sure wish BG played like that when the score was close.

And how soft are the Mavs that they are making Deng look aggressive...

And, um... let's welcome back Larry Hughes to health, if not the lineup.
