Analysis: Atlanta is booming with confidence. And rightly so, they nearly upset the powerful Celtics. Atlanta has a superb collection of young players lead by Mike Bibby and Joe Johnson. Atlanta has also has had its current group of players together for at least half a year. They are clearly starting to gel together and look like they will be playing for something in the playoff rather than just trying to get into the playoffs. The Nets will have trouble with Atlanta. First, who is going to guard Joe Johnson? Vince Carter probably won't do the best of jobs on him. Next, there is no Devin Harris for the Nets to contain and frustrate Bibby. Look for Bibby to get his way a lot setting up plays and scoring. The toughest part about playing again the Hawks will be overcoming the Hawks' superb team play.

Prediction: 107 - 98 Hawks. The Hawks will be on the road, so the Nets will have something on their side. Hawks have not played defense especially well the last few games, so look for the Nets to have a relatively high scoring game. However, the Nets likely won't be able to muster up enough defense to prevent the Hawks from winning. Look for Yi to have hefty rebounding game because the Hawks bigs are not the best in that department. Josh Boone is likely to have a decent game on offense since he will be playing against Zaza most of the night.

I think Harris starts and Boone sits tonight. Between Lopez and Williams I'm not sure who will start at center.

Hurt ankle last game. Seen limping at training facility yesterday by beat writers.

can't ever tell whats goign to happen because the hawks are young and they might be too hung over to play well. God bless new york area home court advantage!

In the Nets case you can call it "home court disadvantage". It's disheartening when you hear only 3 fans and an announcer. And I don't think move to Prudential Center would help as I watch hockey and Devils' home games are always half empty. Only BrooklyN!!!

The problem isn't that the arena is half empty, but that the few fans there are a quarter-mile away off the court.

Hard to feel any energy from the 8,000 or so that do show up due to the construction of that monstrosity. Might as well be playing in Giants Stadium.

Miami's arena was half empty during that game but the vibe was totally different.

Netsdaily reports Brook to start. This is a great chance for Brook to finally put it together. He should get plenty of PT. Also, excited about Ryan Anderson backing up Yi.

You mean Brook is to start... not Boone.

Oh, man... Ma3oxuct, I just noticed you put Hassel as a "key bench player" for the Nets. I hope this is a joke, right? :)

They'll probably sit him as soon as he starts getting hot.

To tell you the truth, I'm more concerned with the performance of three players in this game than the result itself. Those three - Brook, SWAT, Anderson.

Why risk it? No need to rush, we suck with him and without him.

Because without him the game is harder and more discouraging for young players like Lopez, Yi and Williams.

Not good for morale or player development.

I want Sean to start at PG. Look what happens when he brings the ball up:
