SWAT is a talented big who can help us out, but he doesn't deserve playing time right now. If he practices harder each day and works after hours, coach Frank will see that he wants to be out there helping us win. SWAT just needs to get his head 100% into Nets basketball, because he knows more than anyone else that Hassel and Swift aren't on his level of talent. He'll get his chance and I'm sure he will help us out this year...it's all about maturing.
Let me just first say to the poster above me DAMN I love that Avatar and when Jacobs knocked the stuffing out of Landry I crushed my soda can while cheering for that. As for Sean I love Sean, he is type of player who has immense talent, unfortunately he's stuck w/ talentless scratch that IQ less poor excuse of a coach who continues to get away w/ bad lineups, bad game strategy, bad matchups and bad substitutions. When this joke leaves NJ our future can begin. Remember before the season even begun I hinted Brook Lopez should start it took till how many games for Boone to finally show he's not a starter ? it took how long for Frank to realize it's about the future w/ this team ? he still doesn't know that Simmons does not belong out there in crunch time, still allows guys like Hassel to get the ball over legit offensive threats, nothing going to the rim, no motion other than iso roll outs for 3's when this guy leaves we can breathe some sigh of relief until then we are stuck blaming players who regress under his watch and lose PT to be made an example of. I for one don't want to deal Sean I'd deal Boone before him but this organization continues to show too much support for players/a coach that does not merit it.
You said this: And then I just wanted to know if you were one of the poeple unhappy with Collins because if you don't care if he averages 0/0 as long as he plays solid defense and boxes out then what is the difference between that kind of production and what Collins did? Other than that Collins was a smarter, stronger and better defender and better at boxing out. I get that Sean has more upside, but that post wasn't about upside, but rather what he can bring to the table now and how you were content with just those skills and "anything else would be a bonus".
Neither complaining or saying their sucked I just mention it so someone else can come to that conclusion. I didn't call Krstic a bust he was a good player but nothing special. He even said himself in order for him to successful in this league he is going to have to improve on his defense rebounding and post play. Notice that he is not playing in the NBA anymore. Marcus Williams is headed on the same road. Yi will be there too if he keeps chucking up these threes. Krstic is a good player to come off the bench but your in your starting line up hell no. I've been saying that for years and the final results proves the point. His success was good but it's not enough to keep him in the nba. Over Seas yea he will be a force but in the NBA players half his size were punishing him. Leon Powe 49 draft pick, Paul Milsap 47, Al Thornton 14, Carl Landry 31, Jason Maxell 26, Ronny Turaif 37, Al Jefferson 15, David West 18, Kendrick Perkins 26, Carlos Boozer 34, I could have went on but I decided to stop at 2002 class. Now Those players weren't high picks and were able to help their teams. I only listed pf and c.
