The thing is, with the league these days, they still might do it just for entering it, regardless of who you are going in there for.

Remember earlier this season or preseason, Ron came in to separate two people and he got T'd up for it and people were talking suspension? Same thing, just different people with different reputations.

I dont think Nash should be suspended, but I think he should have been thrown out of the game.

Psh, I WANT another shot at you guys. I think the Lakers at full strength would be able to beat the Celtics. Andrew Bynum has made a world of difference this year and I think he'd make a world of difference against your Celtics because we'd have a legit post presence, which we didn't have last year.

Plus, it would be quite pleasant to beat the champs and become the champs in the process.

I guess we'll find out but personally I think he won't make that much of a difference since you still have a soft baby in Pau and Odom.

    CELTICS CELTICS CELTICS ;)

Hey don't blame me, blame the team for winning 17 NBA Championships.

Pau has actually played a lot "tougher" this year than he did last year. He's really been less apt to take peoples shit this year.

And if you want to see whether he makes a difference, check out our defense this year. I realize it's a small sample, but at no point last year did we ever have a seven game stretch of defense like this.

I love the "soft" stereotype that has fallen with Gasol. Soft "baby" was because Pau was playing out of position, in the paint, where he was constantly out muscled and worn out after half a season + postseason of play. Put Garnett at center, in the paint, for half a season plus the postseason and we'll see what a tough guy he really is. He'd get embarrassed because he doesn't have the body type to take the banging night in and night out. As for Odom, I could care less about him because coming off the bench, he is one of the best sixth man in the league.

As for Bynum, his presence certainly helps. If you don't believe me, look at how much our defense has improved just with him back in the lineup. His presence alone gives us a TREMENDOUS boost defensively, don't believe me? Ask the teams we've beaten up on this year because of our defensive intensity, something we had none of last year.

He's not out of position, look at his body, he's supposed to be a center.

He's weak though, just like Divac was for the Kings back in the days, and Shaq used to push him around, same thing with Pau, he's great at making shots but once he's in the paint, if there's a real defender on him, it's bound to be blocked.

Gasol is not a center by any means. I don't know what drives you to think that he is, but he's not. From his thinish frame to the way he plays, he is not even close to a center.

By no means is Pau a center. Pau is 7'0. KG is 6'11. So technically KG should be center too right? Your logic doesn't work, because for one, like you said, he's too weak to play center. His body cannot stand being down there in the paint for every single possession. Not to mention, when you look at his stats career wise, he is much more effective at power forward than he is at center. Also, the mid range game is one of Pau's strengths, something he wasn't able to utilize at all last year because he had to play in the paint every possession.

" he's great at making shots but once he's in the paint, if there's a real defender on him, it's bound to be blocked"

thus he is not a center

Great thread, OP. Just had a discussion about this with a few people.

I do NOT hate the Suns, that's in the past, and to be honest, the only person I truly hated with a passion and still despise is Tim Thomas. He really scarred me for life.

I don't hate Steve Nash --- how can ANYONE possibly HATE this guy?

Watch these vids and tell me if you still hate Steve:

    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pahqq-1hp0 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7wRyORk_A0g

Anyways, I don't hate Raja either (but that clothesline still pisses me off) But from what I've seen in interview of Raja, he's a really cool cat and all he did was not bow down to Kobe and stood his ground, I can definitely respect that.

After the Suns/Rockets brawl the other day, I was really happy with Shaq. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed him shoving the shit out of T-mac, Rafer, and those guys. None of those pussies went after Shaq, they just went after the white guy they knew they could take.

So to sum it up, I don't hate the Suns at all, despite them making us their bitch two years in a row in the playoffs. The reason I say that is we wouldn't be where we are now if it wasn't for the Suns

Yeah I saw those vids in the Blazer forum too, there were a couple of other pretty funny ones and after watching them it is indeed hard to dislike Nash as a person.
