Re: Dead Space So I went out and rented this game tonight and...wow. It is damn good. The mood of it is absolutely incredible in this game, it's absolutely creepy as hell. I'm loving it so far. I'm just afraid that the action/combat in it could be stale. Blasting off limbs can only stay entertaining for so long. Regardless of that, I think the mood of this game, as well as the story, will keep me interested enough to beat it.
Re: Dead Space So now that I'm in chapter 3, I can say this is the BEST survival-horror game I've ever played. Yes, that means better than any Resident Evil or Silent Hill game. The atmosphere of this game is just incredible. It's tense and it builds paranoia to incredible heights. I've never been so keen on walking in a game, but I do in this. I'm constantly in fear about what could pop around the corner and tear me limb from limb. It's great. I love it. Too bad I only have this for a rental though, but it is definitely worth a purchase. It's just phenomenal.
Re: Dead Space To be honest, I don't know. I'd probably have to say....maybe a 8 or so. There is some seriously freaky shit in the game, but in my book, the "scariness" is created more by the tension. You never know when something is going to pop up around the corner and take you out. Also keep in mind I never beat the game, so it might get scarier down the line. Also keep in mind that I don't get scared, which is why I can't really call it scary. It is freaky and weird and tense as hell though.

I'm stuck on one of the last stages. I've been getting my ass handed to me. Hopefully I'll find the time and willpower to see it through to the end.
Played it for the first time today, creepy as hell lol. Although I've managed to kill them in one or two shots...maybe I'm lucky with my aim lol
I'm kinda stuck at the part where I have to shoot rocks with a cannon. I always end up dieing in the final moments.
I'm in Stage 6...and I'm so fuckn tense when I play....always peeking with my gun, running through some shit that I just want to diffuse the tension with.....fuckn creepy and its got me on edge.
