Anyone got an update on his injury?

 

Frank said muscle spasms...not a big deal. Dont know if he will play vs. Cleveland, but he should be fine.

Yeah, I just read a footnote at ESPN that said back spasms, not believed to be serious. That's a relief, because he's a huge part of why this team is looking good right now.

Gotta give props to Jarvis. His play so far was a revelation for me. He's like Vince Carter mini version

 

He kinda looks like vince out there.. Sometimes I get confused lol.

 

I've gotten confused between the 2 a few times also and I know the announcers have also lol

 

Even I've had to do a double take a couple of times, and I pretty much have VC's form emblazoned in my memory, LOL. Their complexions are almost identical, both bald, same height, wear almost the same accessories (those funky shin/calf pad things). Hayes is slightly stockier, it seems to me, but otherwise very similar in build. And he's shooting like Vince too!

 

lol wen u look at him for a sec u think its vince lol all ask my friend to check the score of a net game everytime im out and hes always getting them confused.

I used to tell them apart by their play. I'm happy to say that Hayes is doing well enough so I can't do that as often anymore.

As per the injury, he clearl;y got the back spasms from lan ding awkwardly and tweaking his back.
Hopefully the injury that caused the spasms is not severe, those lower back injuries can be nasty in the NBA.

 

VC is Hayes' favorite player, and it shows.

 

Lmao, they do look very similar. And as Mark Jackson used to say (albiet about Lammond Murray wtf?!!?!?!), Jarvis Hayes is beginning to look like a "poor man's Vince Carter." Love what he brings to the team. People also forget that this guy is only, what, 26 or 27? He looks much older than he is. Upside?!!?! lol

 

I hope Vince goes back to the headband soon, usually he will go back to it mid season.
Although Vince has been playin sick lately that headband just gives him the mentality of attacking the rim hard ie. Alonzo Mourning

 

Jarvis has been playing great. He's been hitting some key shots in pressure situations, and playing solid defense.

 

If I ever become that much of a Sean Williams fan, will you guys please let me know?

It's a shame we could not have had Hayes and Dooling 5 years ago.

 

yeah...i don't know what's with that...when i was playing a lot before i used to shoot a lot better with an armband on...
