Pretty much every billionaire in the world is guilty of insider trading many, many times. Every investment move they make is dependent on it. Allen, Gates, Buffett...all are guilty. And that is the single most prevalent reason for the absurd imbalance of wealth in America.
Maybe so, but I would think their billions would be enough. So, will he go to jail, and if so, for how long?
Lester Munson on ESPN said the charges were similar to the Martha Stewart charges and actually involved more money. She did 5 months at a country club jail. I could see Cuban getting that. People are pissed at the BS going on with the stock market.
I just read on CNN the charges are civil and not criminal. He will be fined about 1.5 million. Seems Maris61 was right on.
If you're holding a ton of shares in a company, and you find out the company is going down the tubes, why wouldn't you sell? Anybody in their right mind would do the same. Who is going to hang on to his shares and watch them plummet???
