None of that has anything with what you said. You said he was hesitant because he was afraid of making mistakes and being benched. I said bullshit because Frank only benches players that don't make an impact on the game. And even despite Yi not making much of an impact the past 2 games he still played him 20 mpg. So it's Frank's fault that Yi only makes an impact in every other game? It's the offense that's the issue every other game? Anderson seems to have no problem making an impact in the same offense getting the same looks Yi gets. Yi looks lost because Yi doesn't fully understand english and have the ability to grasp every nuance of what is being said out there. When teams totally suck on defense it is usually a result of poor communication, which just goes to show you how important communicating is in this sport. Give him time and he'll learn the language and get more confidence and consistancy.
Yi has some holes in his game right now and i agree he needs to get better with his back to the basket. He's gonna be fine, he's long and he can shoot....a little hard work on some moves, add a little muscle, and his games going to explode.
Lol this thread is money. Sean got his shots blocked tonight and Yi couldn't buy a bucket. The thing with Sean is he's so slow raising his hands to put the ball in that opponent can take 20 sec time-out and still be able to block him
I am done rooting for yi. I hate the way he carries himself on the court. He has negative scared energy. Ryan anderson looks 100 times more willing to play than yi. Sean gathers himself to dunk when he is under the rim thats why he gets blocked. When he is on the run he doesnt have to gather cause he has momentum. He needs more lower body strength.
I think Yi will be fine eventually, as i mentioned in another post he will come along just like RJ did. In his 3 year he will look a lot more like Derk than he is now. He's learning a new culture, now a new state, and a whole new larger market. He also has alot of off court work he does too. Just because he's not ready now doesn't mean he stinks, he's just not ready yet.
I think Yi looks for opportunities where he can put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket. It's a part of his game that he wants to improve, so he looks to do that before anything else.
