Someone must have forwarded the link of this thread to the MSP. Have any of you been listening this week? They're saying things like "Oh, I almost used the word I'm not supposed to use, JOBBER!" - and stuff like - "We don't want people to think we're rude or will cut you off mid sentence (chuckle, chuckle)." Hmmmm.....
And I still haven't listened to their show. It pains me because I enjoyed it until the obnoxious dial got turned up to an ear-bleeding decibel level.
"Jobber" is a wrestling term. A jobber is someone who is booked to lose to another wrestler. Usually it applies to someone who is booked to lose on a regular basis - a low tier guy if you will. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Job_(professional_wrestling) I do not listen to CIP and Dawson but from the comments I see on them and the phrases they use they are very unoriginal and steal a lot of their 'quotable' material from the WWE. Gavin calls himself The People's Champ which is obviously taken from The Rock. Jobber is a professional term too, and La Familia was a stable (group of people) in the WWE for about eight or so months this year. The fact that Gavin and CIP can think of nothing original to refer to themselves to in terms of nicknames just makes them seem even more cheesy and lame.
Gavin and Isaac Ropp started "La Familia" at least two years ago when they did the Saturday am show on The Fan. Perhaps the WWE ripped them off for that one.
