The UFC presents UFC 91: Couture vs. Lesnar from the MGM Grand Garden Arena tonight at 10:00PM EST, only on PPV! This is expected to be the top-selling UFC PPV of all time and could vie for the top-selling sports PPV ever as well.

Five time UFC Champion and current reigning, defending UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy "The Natural" Couture returns to the octagon for the first time in fourteen months. The 45-year old Greco-Roman wrestler is coming off of two straight wins including a dominant unanimous decision over heavyweight champion Tim "The Maine-iac" Sylvia. The star of The Scorpion King 2 and Redbelt is out to prove he isn't ready to retire and can still teach a thing or two to the younger generation of MMA fighters.

Standing in the other corner will be the biggest challenge of his career in the 6'3", 280-lbs former NCAA Division 1 wrestling champion Brock Lesnar. The South Dakota native and Minnesota resident is a former three-time WWE champion known for his incredible mixture of power, speed and athleticism. He is fourteen years younger than the champion and will have a weight advantage of over fifty pounds in the fight.

Also in action is number one lightweight contender Kenny Florian who is facing dangerous submission specialist Joe "Daddy" Stevenson for the chance to face BJ Penn in 2009 for the UFC Championship. Brazilian beast Gabriel Gonzaga faces UFC newcomer Josh Hendricks in a heavyweight tilt and Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt champion Demian Maia takes on former Ultimate Fighter contestant Nate "Rock" Quarry in a three-round bout. Finally, in a fight of the ages for nerds across the globe, Tamdan "The Barn Cat" McCrory faces Dustin "McLovin'" Hazelett in what is expected to be the most evenly matched fight of the night.

Check out the S2 MMA forum for updates and reactions, but don't miss the card only on PPV.

The end of an era last night as Randy Couture got KTFO in the second round.

Brock Lesnar is the new disputed heavyweight champion of the UFC.

Antonio "Minotauro" Nogueira and Frank Mir are vying for the interim heavyweight title in December and the winner of that fight will go on to face Lesnar sometime in 2009 in a title unification bout.

Anyone who missed the card last night should check out the replay. All nine fights were worth watching. Several good submissions and a couple of vicious knockouts.

I'm not a huge MMA fan but I did catch the highlights on ESPN, and from the looks of it, Lesnar destroyed Couture.

It was pretty close until Lesnar got Couture on his back and went all out.

I almost took a 100 dollar bet on Lesnar. I said he would beat Couture but I didn't take the best cause I was unsure. FUCK! What a knock out, and Lesnar is slow as fuck, but a powerful mother fucker. Great fight.

Lesnar is a pro with the Donky Kong style ground and pound.

The shot that took Couture down was almost identical to the punch that Matt Serra landed on Georges St. Pierre (which was the biggest upset in MMA history). Right on the side of the head slightly behind the ear. Pretty much anyone who gets hit there with a clean shot will crumple.

Damn that was a decent fight, Brock condition is just awful if Randy didn't get knocked out I think Randy would have ended up winning it. But Brock is just a big mother fucker, man that dude is just BIG!

    Brock vs. Kimbo anyone?

Damn Brock is huge. He was throwin knees like a madman. His conditioning is bad, but he didnt let himself go all out and get tired. He kept himself in check mostly.

It was a great fight, but let's not forget Couture is 45 years old and hadn't fought since August 2007.

I still think Nogeuira will be Frank Mir and will then go on to beat Lesnar... but Lesnar is still very new to the sport and improving so he may be a lot better by the time these guys fight next Spring/Summer....
